About the Academy
Welcome to our website!
We hope that you will enjoy your virtual visit to our school finding it interesting, fun and informative.
For those of you who are not familiar with the school, Hatfield Woodhouse Primary School is a small rural primary school catering for 225 children who are pupils from the village of Hatfield Woodhouse and the surrounding area. The buildings are set in pleasant grounds in the village of Hatfield Woodhouse, 9 miles north east of Doncaster. We pride ourselves on our delightful children, our hard working professional staff (and AAB members) and our passion for learning. We are proud of the warm, family atmosphere in our school and the attainment of our children.
As you will see as you browse around our website we have a beautiful school and some fabulous resources. The school was first built in 1877 and has been constantly improved and developed since then!
The staff at Hatfield Woodhouse aim to provide a caring ethos for the children, within which a wide range of learning opportunities exists to enable all children to grow into independent and responsible people.
Ofsted say that the behaviour of our children is good. Our children know the acdemy rules and follow them. We have a structured whole-school behaviour policy, however under exceptional circumstances fixed and permenant exclusions may be issued to maintain high standards of behaviour throughout the academy, and for the well-being and safety of all pupils.
We believe that we can only achieve the best for our pupils by working closely with parents and carers. There are many opportunities for parents to share in their child’s education and visitors are always welcomed into the school. I hope that our website becomes a valuable part of this relationship and serves to improve communication as well as providing useful information to all visitors to the site.
