    Blue Bell Wood Elf Dash


    Ash Hill Academy Sixth Form students arranged a very special event to raise money for Blue Bell Wood Children's Hospice.  Students and staff made donations to take part in the event which put a smile on everybody's face during the last day of term.  Donations are still coming in, but a huge amount had already been raised at the time of writing.

    Year KS3 students were asked to take part in a competion to design the Ash Hill Academy Christmas Card. It could be designed using any media but must be A5 in size and have a clear image so it can be printed and made in to the active academy Christmas Card 2017.

    21st December 2017 - Kingston Park Academy

    Throughout the academy we are working hard to develop our  pupils’ knowledge and use of rich vocabulary.

    With this in mind we have recently introduced a new vocabulary initiative ‘It’s Only words’.

    Daily lessons will explore a systematic approach to the teaching and learning of vocabulary, developing an understanding of the meaning of selected words and how they can be applied within their spoken and written language. Lessons planned will provide children with practical ideas, strategies and activities for th

    Everyone at Kingston would like to say a fond farewell to Miss Turner, Miss Newboult and Miss Donovan who are  leaving the  academy for pastures new. We wish them all the best of luck.

    We are pleased to welcome Mrs Harvey who will be the Year 2 Teacher and to welcome back Mrs Beighton as the Year 1 Teacher.


  • 100% Attendance Awards

    20th December 2017 - Macaulay Primary Academy

     Children have received 100% attendance awards today in assembly. Well done  to all of you. Silver certificates will be awarded before the Easter holiday in 2018, with a reward visit planned for all children with 100% attendance for the whole year at the end of the summer term.

  • A Night at the Musicals great success

    20th December 2017 - De Warenne Academy

    This December we performed our Christmas musical spectacular at De Warenne Academy, ‘A Night at the Musicals’. Students have been working hard twice a week since September, learning a number of songs and scenes from popular musicals such as; Wicked, Hairspray, Matilda, Les Miserables, Legally Blonde and many more.

    The show also has an underlying plot of an amateur drama club putting on its first big musical as we follow the trials and tribulations of Henry, Margo and Sandra the co-directors of the show. What

  • Penguin Schools Book Bundle Winner

    19th December 2017 - Serlby Park Academy
    Serlby Park Library is delighted to be selected as the national winner of the Penguin Random House Publishing House Free Prize Draw for 2017.
    A fabulous selection of the latest books for children have just arrived in school including stories by Rick Riordan, Jacqueline Wilson, Clare Balding and Tom Fletcher. These books are a wonderful addition to our library and be available for pupils to borrow straight away.

    Our Post 16 students welcomed Jenny Webster from The Money Charity on 18th December 2017.

    We participated in a one hour workshop covering some really important information to help improve students’ confidence and skills in managing their finances.

    We have had lots of donations as well as £100 cash raised by sixth form students who organised a range of Christmas-related fund-raising activities.
