  16th October 2016 - The Parks Academy

  On Friday, a group of Y6 pupils from The Parks visited Sirius North, along with pupils from other local primary schools. They spend the day working on very challegning English and Maths objectives, designed to stretch the most able.

  Pupils had a great day. We look forward to forging very strong links across the curriculum with our partners from Sirius North.

• Anti-bullying week update

  What a fantastic week it's been so far! Pupils have been working hard at school and at home, learning much about this important subject. Yesterday we had a fantastic turnout for the workshop and today we look forward to having our BLUE DAY! • THEATRE PERFORMANCE FOR Y11

  14th October 2016 - Ash Hill Academy

  ManActCo inspire laughter and tears!

  As part of our drive to help students better understand some of the harder aspects of the English Literature syllabus, we have employed a visiting theatre group to perform set GCSE texts on three separate occasions at Ash Hill Academy.  ManActCo performed no less than 24 poems and excerpts from 3 separate Shakespeare plays within an hour, to start this process rolling on the morning of the 14^th October.  They also lead a question and answer session for 30 minutes afterwar

  The reception children and their parents had a dingle dangle time making scarecrows for the Autumn term.  I am sure you will agree they have done a great job.

  Reminder School closes at 3.30pm on Friday 21st October for half term. There will be a Staff Training Day on Monday 31st October. School will reopen to pupils on Tuesday 1st November at 8.45am

  Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for year 2.  Following on from the recent visit of Captain Burwash, the children and parents made plenty of treasures, take a look for yourself.

  AHA Basketball Team Win Away Game

  The Ash Hill Academy Basketball team travelled to Ridgewood School last night, putting on a fantastic display to win 46-14. Massive thanks to go the Ridgewood team as well as SchoolGames Doncaster, from all at Ash Hill Academy.

  
  

• Y7 London Trip

  Any students in Y7 who are interested in an overnight trip to London next July should collect a letter from the English Office.

  All deposits need to be paid by 18th November.
