Well done to all of the children, staff and parents for supporting us with the race for life.  We have raised a fantastic amount of money, the grand total to date is £1067.50!!

    Thank you to all for your support in donating gifts for the charity Cash for Kids.  Gifts will be wrapped up and donated to local disadvanted children.

  • Christmas Holidays 2016

    Congratulations to all students who participated in our Library BOOKBUZZ Review Competition; the standard of the reviews this year was amazing!

    The 3 winning year 8 students were able to select one of the exciting new books from the 2016 Bookbuzz range and were delighted with their prizes!

    Thank you of course to our wonderful librarian who continues to organise exciting and engaging events for our students!

  • Uniform

    15th December 2016 - Melior Community Academy

    The academy has a clear uniform policy which has been shared with all parents. Students who contravene this policy will be dealt with through the academy behaviour policy. Parents who need financial support to purchase correct uniform, can request this through the academy hardship fund. Girls are expected to be in knee length pleated black skirts or tailored trousers and not pencil or straight skirts.

    A huge well done to one of our Year 8 students - Courtney Green on her fantastic "Waterfall Cake". Not only did Courtney create this masterpiece but then went on to share it with her classmates.

    It has been a really busy day in the Academy with a number of events happening.  This morning we ran our Christmas Parents Consultation morning which was very positive.  We fed back on our actions from our last meeting and discussed some of the new initiatives that have been running.

    We then hosted The Kirklees Musika Band for a Christmas concert with Year 7.  This was attended by parents from the earlier meeting and our neighbours from Manor Croft Nursing Home.

    We have also had our Christmas lunch in the can
