    To introduce and celebrate Dolly Parton's imagination library, where children who are under 5 years old can receive free books, we enjoyed lots of activities around the book Peter Rabbit!

  • Easter Service

    9th April 2018 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    During the run up to Easter students at RASA enjoyed our yearly Easter service. This year we had a special twist with the band ‘The Plan’ coming into the academy to deliver the Easter message through the use of music!

    We saw each house erupt with excitement and laughter whilst dancing and singing along to the songs along with having a time to reflect on the Easter message. A big thankyou to the band and all those involved for this fantastic opportunity.

  • Ski Trip

    9th April 2018 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    On Friday 30th March  15 students and 2 staff set off on a ski trip to Santa Caterina in Italy on a joint trip with The Vale Academy. 

    The students who went on the trip were outstanding, their behaviour and attitude throughout the whole trip was superb. The ski instructors and staff from Vale commented on this repeatedly.

    All students and staff had a fantastic time and we now have a set of 10 outstanding skiers and 5 unbeliev

  • Easter Intervention Success!

    Over 300 students attended our recent Easter Intervention Programme.  Study sessions were available in all subject areas over the Easter holiday and were extremely well attended by Year 11 students.  The final exams are only a few weeks away now, so these study sessions were of vital importance for students.

  • News about School Gateway lunch payments

    We are pleased to announce that you can now make payments using school gateway app or online to top-up your son/daughters lunch money. Attached below is a guide on how to do this.

    Important points to note

    The app updates these are 6am, 10am, 12pm and 2pm everyday.

    Top-ups need to be made by 11:15 to ensure they are available for lunch.

  • Mock Results

    All year 11 students recently completed mock examinations in their English , Maths and Science. To celebrate their performance students were treated to a mock results day experience. We hope that this experience has prepared students for their exams which begin after the school break.

  • KS2 love the new playground markings.

    29th March 2018 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    An exciting new addition has been added to the perimeter of our KS2 playground - a red line with a heart shape in one corner! The idea is to encourage an additional active playtime activity for our children -jogging! Children who run round the marked line nine times will have completed a mile. After Easter lunchtime staff will be giving out certificates to children who can complete nine laps over the course of a lunchtime. Judging by these photos the new markings have won the hearts of KS2 children already!

  • Easter Egg Decoration Competition.

    The annual GLPA Early Years Easter bonnet parade was held this morning - it was fantastic, thank you to all the families that supported this both in making the bonnets and coming into school for the parade.

    The Easter egg decoration compettion was great - lots of Harry Potter inspired ideas. please have a look at the photos. Well done to all those that took part.

  • Winner of the March prize draw

     We have a winner from our March prize draw. Miss Harbottle, mum of a year 9 student downloaded our new school gateway app and was lucky enough to win a SMART TV.

    There will be another draw in April, so why not download the app and fingers crossed, you might win a prize!

    Congratualtions to all the children who were awarded a Star Achiever badge and certificate in the special assemblies this week in Reading, Literacy, Oracy, Maths, Sport, Attendance and being a fantastic Role Model.

  • Year 11 Reward Trip

    29th March 2018 - Manor Croft Academy

    Mr Hewitt and the Year 11 team went on their reward trip just before Easter.  Over 110 students visited Xscape in Castleford to have a fun day out and relax just before their final push to the exams.  They enjoyed activities such as: ten pin bowling, laser zone, gravity and 4D golf, all rounded off with a nice lunch!  The students were fantastic on the day, now for the final push to their GCSE's!

  • Goodbye

    At the end of this term it is with great sadness that we will be saying goodbye and good luck to colleagues  who are leaving.
