    2nd July 2018 - The Vale Academy

    Natural detectives were unearthed at The Vale when a forensic psychologist spoke to Year 8s.

    John Hartland, who has worked with convicted criminals in various prisons and is now a lecturer at Leeds Beckett University and The University Centre Grimsby, met the Scholars’ Programme students.

    Mr Hartland was “amazed” with our students’ intelligence and maturity, said Nicola Elvin, Scholars’ Programme Coordinator.

    UKS2 parents and children enjoyed a wonderful morning in the sun on Friday trying American football. Chris Jones, from NFL UK, came to lead the 45 minute session. Children and parents got to learn how to tackle, throw and catch an American football. There was a wonderful atmosphere as parents and children spent time together taking part in sport.   • Inter-house football.

    29th June 2018 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    Inspired by the fantastic football we are being treated to at the World Cup in Russia, LKS2 held their inter-house football competition on Wednesday. There was some really good football played in some very warm conditions. It was great to see children revelling in the chance to play for their house - for many it was the first time they had done so this school year.

    The tournament saw all the houses play each other once and get 5 pts for a win, 3 for a draw and 1 for a loss.

  • Rounders Competition!

    29th June 2018 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    KS1 have had a rounders competition this week. On Wednesday Penguins and Owls played against each other. Owls won! On Thursday Lions and Tigers played against each other. Tigers won! So on Friday Owls and Tigers played against each other to determine who was the overall winner!! They had loads of fun playing and the other children came out to cheer them on. Owls were the winners! Well done Owls!

  • Y6 Induction Day & Parents Evening

    28th June 2018 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    We are looking forward to welcoming Y6 students to the academy on Thursday 5th July for an induction day.  Students should arrive for 9am, they will spend the full day in the academy and be dismissed at 2:45pm.  We would ask that parents make suitable arrangements for drop off and collection.  During the day students will have the opportunity to meet their form tutor and a range of teaching staff. 

    Students will also require money to purchase lunch as we operate a cafeteria system  The set meal for the day

  • We are Sun Safe at Grange Lane Infant Academy

    28th June 2018 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    We have had a big focus on sun safety recently with the very hot weather we have been having! Letters have been sent to grown ups to remind them to send children with everything they need for the hot weather. In school we have had an assembly teaching the children about the 5 S's; slip, slop, slap, sunglasses, shade. All classes are going to be having a go at drawing themselves as a sun safe super star.
