Year 11 Graduation Assembly
13th June 2017 - Melior Community AcademyOur Year 11 Graduation Assembly will take place on Tuesday, 27th June 2017 at 9.25am and is open to parents who wish to attend with their children.
Students should arrive from 9am for a prompt start at 9.25am and should be wearing full academy uniform. The assembly will last approximately 1 hour and will give our students the opportunity to celebrate the end of their exams and reflect on their achievements during their time with us.

Year 6 Transition Arrangements
12th June 2017 - Melior Community AcademyOur transition Day for all Year 6 students joining us in September will be on Monday, 10th July. Priory Lane students will have a separate induction day of Friday, 14th July.
Please ensure that your child arrives at the academy wearing their usual school uniform for 8.20a. Lunch will be at 12.30pm and children can either purchase a meal from the canteen (£2.30) or bring a packed lunch. Arrangements will be made for those children who access free school meals. New Uniform Information

12th June 2017 - The Elland AcademyThe students have been developing their descriptive writing skills in English, this week we have tasted muffins and cookies on Monday and today we have tasted a range of fruit. We were brave and tried new fruits such as pomegranate seeds, papaya and apricots. Bradley said his favourite was kiwi whereas Matthew preferred the nectarine. We will now write a description of each fruit, improving our adjective choice. -

Sailing on the HMS Pickle
9th June 2017 - Hull Trinity House AcademyDuring half term one of our Year 9 student, Mason Wild, sailed on the HMS Pickle, a recreation of Lord Nelson’s famous messenger ship.
Among the crew is 14-year-old Mason Wild, from Hull, who has been given time off from his school to sail on Pickle as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Award.Mason said: “It’s brilliant. It is a chance you won’t get anywhere else.
“I’m learning sailing, navigation, cooking and life skills.”

Amazon in the Community
9th June 2017 - Rossington All Saints AcademyThe academy recently received a donation from Amazon of £1000.00 as part their 'Amazon in the Community' programme where the company supports communities in and around where it operates in the UK.
The money will be used to fund the STEM club programme at the academy ensuring students can take part in even more experiements and innovative science lessons.
To celebrate the donation, members of the local Amazon team visitied the academy and took part in a forensics class with students from Years 7,8 and 9.
