    The Uniform policy for 2017 - 2019 was approved by EAB last week. Please look at this as we will be strictly enforcing it in September. The main issue is footwear. ONLY plain black shoes or boots (no heals) are permitted. Trainers are NOT permitted.

    Following notification that the current school bus operator, Bright Bus, will be closing down this month, the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) has been working with other operators to find alternative or new services.

  • Laser Combat

    20th July 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

    Year 9 and 10 pupils spent the day at Bawtry Paintball Fields battling it out over several combat arenas in order to decide the champions between the red and blue teams. Unfortunately for me (Mrs Hunt) the blue team were victorious, claiming a win in the final deciding game. It was a really great day!

  • Girls tee up golf triumph

    20th July 2017 - The Vale Academy

    A drive to engage more girls in golf benefited students from The Vale Academy.

    More than 250 attended an initial taster day organised by Stacey Mitchell, the Regional Development Officer at The Golf Foundation.

    Thirty girls then attended a six week course at Elsham Golf Club, led by Dane Duffin, its assistant professional.

    Mr Richard Hughes a Physical Education teacher, who took the party each week, said it included fun activities and teaching to give the girls the basics to begin playing the game.

  • Gardening Club Present Prize Cheque to NSPCC

    Our gardening club children were able to present their £500 prize cheque from the Frenchgate Gardening competition to the NSPCC today.

    Emma from the NSPCC was so pleased that our children chose this great cause as their nominated charity and came to a special assembly to collect it.

  • Archery Attendance Rewards Event

    20th July 2017 - Manor Croft Academy

    On Thursday 20th July a select group of students who had achieved 100% attendance throughout the current academic year were treated to a professionally led archery session.  Mr Paul Wattam from the Chickenley Scout Group led three sessions for students in Years 7, 8 and 9.  Students thoroughly enjoyed it and obtained some high scores considering it was, for the large majority, their first experience of archery! Well done to all!

    This morning ninety-seven of our primary pupils received their much awaited Gold Award during a special assembly to celebrate the importance of reading.

    These hard working pupils have all read at least eighteen books from the Serlby Park Reading Challenge and we are very proud of their achievements.

    This has been the most successful year yet for our Reading Challenge and we are looking forward to the launch of our brand new reading challenge in the Autumn Term.

    Delivery has now been taken of our Year 6 uniform packs and can be collected from tomorrow, Thursday 20th July 9am until 1pm. Please note that these packs DO NOT CONTAIN TIES due to delayed deliveries at SPT uniforms.

    Ties will be distributed on the first day of term (Wednesday, 6th September) to students when they arrive.

    For any parent unable to collect their packs tomorrow, collections can be made on the following dates/times:
