  • Year 10 Geography Field Trip News

    20th June 2017 - De Lacy Academy

    A fantastic day was had by our Year 10 Geographers last Thursday. They spent the day in the sunshine investigating the stunning landforms at Flamborough Head and then completing the fieldwork needed for their GCSE course in Hornsea.

  • Art through City of Culture

    19th June 2017 - Hull Trinity House Academy

    Well done to two of our Year 8 students, Thomas Danby and Charlie Soper, that have been selected to attend a week of enrichment lessons for Art through City of Culture.

    It is an amazing opportunity for them both as they will meet with different artists and attend workshops over the course of the week in both Hull College and the Feren's Art Gallery.

  • Uniform Update

    19th June 2017 - Melior Community Academy

    With effect from September 2017, our uniform supplier will be SPT Uniforms – in line with all other academies in the Delta Trust.

    As previously updated on our website, from September 2017 our incoming Year 7 students will receive a complimentary uniform bundle. Measurements for their uniform will be taken on their transition day (Monday, 10th July) and the bundles will be available for collection prior to the end of the school term.

  • Prom Update

    Excitement is building for our prom this year which is being held at The White Heather on Thursday, 13th July. There is still time for students to confirm their attendance and payment should be received no later than 30th June 2017.

    Tickets will be given out at the Year 11 Graduation Assembly on Tuesday, 27th June 2017. For more information, please contact Mrs Rotheram at the academy.

  • Travel the world during Friday Breakfast

    16th June 2017 - The Elland Academy

    Every Friday morning form BAK travel around the world for breakfast. Previous culinary delights have included trips to France, Greece, UK and... Korea! Although the Croissants seemed to go down well the empty plates today suggest Korea may be visited more than once on our journey around the world.

  • 12th June – Sheffield City Visit

    16th June 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

    On 12th June Year 3 & 4 enjoyed a visit to Sheffield city centre as part of their topic work on Location, Location. They followed a city trail looking at architecture and features of a city and took an awe-inspiring tour of Sheffield Cathedral. They had lunch in the beautiful Weston Park and explored the museum in the afternoon.

     



  • Active Fusion School Athletics Competition

    16th June 2017 - Highfields Primary Academy

    Yesterday, Years 5 and 6 proudly represented Highfields Primary Academy at the Active Fusion School's Athletics competition.  We joined in several field and track events including the 600m sprint, a relay race and long jump.  The children's effort and behaviour was outstanding.  Look out for more sporting events coming soon!
