  • Reading Challenge Platinum Award

    3rd July 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

     

    We are delighted to celebrate the success of Laaibah in Year 4 who has just completed the Serlby Park Academy Platinum Reading Challenge Award by reading an extra twenty books.

    This is in addition to the eighteen books Laaibah read to claim our coveted Gold Award.

    Congratulations and well done to Laaibah. 

     

  • Year 10 Maths Results and Information Evening

    3rd July 2017 - Manor Croft Academy

    On Monday, 3rd July, we hosted a Maths Results and Information evening for our Year 10 students and their parents/carers.  Important information was given out regarding the new Maths GCSE and students received their results from the recent mock exams.  Awards were also given out to students that had made the most progress in their exams since the previous mock.  Overall it was a great turnout and a really informative evening for all who attended.

    On Tuesday 22 June we celebrated the end of this year’s GCSE Art studies.   It gave us a lot of pleasure to view Liam Robertshaw’s work, from Forest Moor School.   Liam was one of our pupils and had produced some of the work in his year 10 placement at The Grove Academy.  Pupils, families and colleagues enjoyed a very relaxed ending to the year, viewing the work together.

  • Wakefield College Taster Day

    30th June 2017 - Manor Croft Academy

    On Friday 30th June 52 students from Manor Croft visited Wakefield College for a Taster Day.   Students were immersed in experiencing courses such as public services, sport, musical theatre as well as more tradition A level subjects such as maths, sciences and English.  The day was a huge success and the feedback from students about the day was very positive. Well done to all involved.

  • JULY ATTENDANCE COMPETITION

    29th June 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    The July Attendance Competition involves all students who achieve 100% attendance from Monday 3rd July to Wednesday 19th July 2017, who will then be given their attendance certificate as a pass to the academy in non uniform on the last day of term. In addition all form groups, who as a team achieve 100% attendance in the same time period, will have a treat delivered to them during form time on the final day of term (Thursday 20th July 2017). Good luck to all 🍀

  • Herd Farm - Whole School OAA

    29th June 2017 - The Elland Academy

    Today was the day that all students and staff members of TEA embarked on a journey to Herd Farm for the annual OAA trip.

    The weather may have been gloomy but our spirits were high, as were some of the activities! Students and staff participated in activities which included The Assault Course, Night Line, Body Zorbes and for those with nerves of steel The Giant Swing (Believe us when we say Giant Swing – just take a look at the picture and the link!)

  • Harry Potter Trip

    29th June 2017 - Manor Croft Academy

    On Thursday 29th June ninety-nine Manor Croft Academy students visited the Warner Brother's Harry Potter Studios in Watford, North London.  The trip was a great success with all students thoroughly enjoying the 'behind-the- scenes' tours of Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest.....amongst other amazing sights, costumes and attractions!

  • Y8/9 BRADFORD UNIVERSITY TRIP

    28th June 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    On Tuesday 27th June 2017, approximately 60 students from Years 8 and 9 were taken to the University of Bradford, by Mr Reynolds, Mrs Claybourn, Mr Johnston and Mr Parsons. The students took part in a #PoweringTransformation workshop, a fully funded, one-day programme developed by The Transformation Trust and supported by Dell. This exciting programme provides the opportunity for a school to send 60 students in Years 7-9, to take part in a workshop using the latest Dell technology in a creative and interest

  • Canoe Polo Champion

    28th June 2017 - Hull Trinity House Academy
    Well done to Ben Jones for his fantastic result at Canoe Polo.  
    He played for GB Development Under 18’s B Team this weekend at Liverpool International. They won all of their matches taking home the Division 3 Trophy. Ben scored 6 goals during the tournament as well as one in the final which was against the GB Development Under 18’s A Team.
