Well done to all of the children, staff and parents for supporting us with the race for life.  We have raised a fantastic amount of money, the grand total to date is £1067.50!!

  • Whetley's amazing Star Achievers

    29th March 2018 - Whetley Academy

    Congratualtions to all the children who were awarded a Star Achiever badge and certificate in the special assemblies this week in Reading, Literacy, Oracy, Maths, Sport, Attendance and being a fantastic Role Model.

  • Year 11 Reward Trip

    29th March 2018 - Manor Croft Academy

    Mr Hewitt and the Year 11 team went on their reward trip just before Easter.  Over 110 students visited Xscape in Castleford to have a fun day out and relax just before their final push to the exams.  They enjoyed activities such as: ten pin bowling, laser zone, gravity and 4D golf, all rounded off with a nice lunch!  The students were fantastic on the day, now for the final push to their GCSE's!

  • Goodbye

    29th March 2018 - Kingston Park Academy

    At the end of this term it is with great sadness that we will be saying goodbye and good luck to colleagues  who are leaving.

    I write at the end of another really successful term at Kingston Park Academy. This term has been very busy with educational visits and events.   • Inter-House Cross Country

    28th March 2018 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    Monday this week saw the KS2 inter-house cross country take place. It was the perfect afternoon with mild and sunny conditions. Cheered on by parents and grandparents the children represented their houses with pride and put in a super effort. This team event gave children the chance to choose from a choice of three courses as to which one they'd like to do. One lap of the red course earned their house 2 points, a lap of the blue course was 4 points and the largest course was the green one - a lap of this ea

  • Easter Egg Hunt

    28th March 2018 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    Green Lane had a dress down day today in exchange for a donation of an Easter egg for the FOGL Easter egg hunt after school today. The weather was damp but children and parents took to the school ground to find clues to win a prize. Many thanks to FOGL and staff that stayed to support the event. Happy Easter to all children, parents and staff.

    On Thursday 22nd March the whole academy visited St Michael's church for our Easter Service. As ever, it was a fabulous occasion. Thank you to the parents and carers who could come along and who were able to help us with the walk.

  • Dinner Day 2018

    23rd March 2018 - Hull Trinity House Academy

    On Wednesday 21st March we had our Annual Dinner Day. Dinner Day is a celebration of our Founders Day. Hull Trinity House School was founded in 1787, when it was then known as 'Hull Trinity House Marine School' and it was officially opened on 2nd February 1787.

    The anniversary of this event is now celebrated as Founders Day but over the years this annual tradition has become known as Dinner Day. This is due to the tradition of the oldest students in the school, leaving and literally walking out onto the dock

  • Year 3 - 4 York Chocolate Factory Visit (Fri)

    23rd March 2018 - Macaulay Primary Academy

    On Friday 23rd March, our second outing to York Chocolate Factory for Year 3 & 4 went ahead. During our visit, we were learning all about the history of chocolate making, we had the chance to make our own chocolate lollies and we even got to sample some of the delicious chocolate from the master chocolatiers!

    In support of sports relief and as a means to raise awareness of healthy life styles we ran a week of activities, each break, which were aiming to make sports fun and entertaining!!!

     Mr Trower, Mr Turner and Mr Bentley worked together and devised sports activities putting a "GROVE ACADEMY" spin on sports activities!!!

    As Sport Relief ran for five days between 19th and 23rd March, the staff team decided to run a challenge a day over the week.

  • Safeguarding Alert

    23rd March 2018 - Serlby Park Academy

    Nottinghamshire Schools regularly share safeguarding information with each other.  We have received an alert today which is nearby and, given that children may be out and about over Easter, we feel we need to make you aware of the information we have received.

    There have been a number of reports of a known sex offender in the Retford area.  The reports are of a middle aged white male, between the ages of 45-50 of medium build close to Retford school grounds.

  • World Book Day

    23rd March 2018 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    We didn't let snow stop us from celebrating the many different characters you can encounter in a book, during the day we met Little Red Riding Hood, George with his Marvellous Medicine, Little Lambs, Dragons, Princesses, Action Heroes, Elmer, The Hungry Caterpillar, Fantastic Mr Fox and even Mickey Mouse! Just to name a few!
