  • 100% ATTENDANCE 2017-2018 REWARD

    7th September 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    During this academic year 2017-2018, students who show commitment and dedication by attending 100% will be rewarded - with a trip to Lightwater Valley theme park in June 2018. 

    To be in the running for this reward, students simply need to attend the academy each day throughout the academic year 2017-2018, ensuring that they arrive on time, fully equipped, and get registered.   • POST 16 TEAM BUILDING

    6th September 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    During the afternoon of Wednesday 6th September 2017, Post 16 students at Ash Hill Academy took part in Team Building activities delivered by the British Army Engagement Team. The whole session was planned as part of the Post 16 Induction process and the academy’s Enrichment program, which each give our sixth formers access to new information regarding career progression.

    The Army team delivered three separate “Command Tasks” to the students, who had been split down into groups of 11 students each.

  • Notice For Parents

    4th September 2017 - The South Leeds Academy

    All students will receive a free tie and one jumper when they start back to the Academy either Tuesday or Wednesday. There has been a delay in the supply of the PE kit, for this week students can wear their old PE kit or any appropriate active wear, e.g. tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt.

    Evidence of Extreme Reading is being sent already!

    Some amazing places have been found to sit and enjoy a good story, we've had in a caravan, on a ferry, very high up over looking Ullswater, in the swimming baths, at the hairdressers, sat on a pony and even infront of the turntable at Kirklees Railway!

    Keep them coming in - they are going to make an amazing display!

    NEW ACADEMY UNIFORM

    Please note that the academy is fully aware that there has been a delay in the shipment of some items of the new uniform. We are monitoring the situation and are liaising closely with the uniform supply company. We will keep everyone up to date throughout the week and will notify you of any updates. At the moment the uniform supplier expects to have the situation resolved by Friday 8th September 2017.

    1st September 2017 - Hatfield Woodhouse Primary School

    Please note school meals will rise to £2.25 per day from 1st September 2017. This equates to £11.25 per week, which I am sure you will agree is still good value for a 2 course delicious meal each day.

  • Highest GCSE results in our history

    25th August 2017 - Melior Community Academy

    Our staff and students celebrated significant improvements in GCSE results at the academy yesterday. Tougher examinations, nationally proved no obstacle to students at the academy who improve the number of students gaining a pass in both English and Maths at GCSE, going up 12% this year to 60%. These gains were reflected across a wide range of subjects.

    Students, staff and parents are celebrating after the first set of GCSE results, since St Wilfrid’s Academy became a formal examinations centre this academic year.
