Well done to all of the children, staff and parents for supporting us with the race for life.  We have raised a fantastic amount of money, the grand total to date is £1067.50!!

  • Christmas Tree Festival

    24th November 2017 - Kingston Park Academy

    On Monday 11th December at 10am our school choir will be singing at the Christmas tree    festival at Carlton Methodist church. Parents are invited to watch the performance. Please speak to Mrs Kerridge if you are available to walk with the children.

     

     

  • FS2 - Year 6 Pantomime Trip

    24th November 2017 - Kingston Park Academy

    On Wednesday 13th December FS2—Year 6 pupils have the opportunity to attend the morning performance of Beauty and the Beast at The Cast Theatre in Doncaster. Great news for this year as The Big Lottery Fund scheme will be paying for all tickets, transport and have even purchased ice-creams for all the children.

    We will be having a Christmas Jumper day on Friday 15th December with a suggested donation of £1. All       donations will go to Cash for Kids.

  • Media City - BBC Trip

    23rd November 2017 - The Elland Academy

    It's been a long day but what am amazing trip with the year 11's. Today has been so much more than a media trip to the BBC!
    Lessons taught today cover the whole curriculum but more importantly it allowed students to experience what it is like outside the Academy, life skills. I could write a novel about the day and how valuable it was but instead I am sure the kids will do that, they were buzzing!

  • Reading Challenge Silver Awards

     Congratulations and well done to Allan and Leah in Year 1, who are the first pupils to achieve the Silver Award this term by reading and enjoying twelve books.

  • Visit to London

    22nd November 2017 - De Lacy Academy

    Some of our Lead Out Loud students travelled to London yesterday to visit the Houses of Parliament.

    They met with Yvette Cooper and discussed what matters to them about their local community. Students also got the chance to observe from the gallery to listen to Boris Johnson debating in the House of Lords.

     

     

  • Countdown to Christmas Attendance Awards

    22nd November 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

    A ‘Countdown to Christmas’ attendance rewards event is taking place each week for secondary pupils. A year group draw will happen each week for any student who has had 100% attendance that week. Students can win up to £30 each week. Please see the pupils below who have already been attendance winners!

    21st November 2017 - Estcourt Primary Academy

    Many thanks to all for Friday's contributions towards Children in Need. So far we have raised £203 as an academy. As a staff we were amazed by some of our children's wondefully creative outfits!!

  • Football Champions

    21st November 2017 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    We are Garforth Schools UKS2 Football Champions 2017! Both the A and B teams played some super football during the tournament on Monday 20th November - we are all very proud.

     

    All schools playing (East Garforth, Ninelands, St. Benedicts, Strawberry Fields and us) entered two teams. Green Lane A won all four of their group games which meant they progressed to the final where they played Strawberry Fields in a play off to see who won the tournament - and we came out winners 2-0.
