  • Boccia Competition

    20th April 2018 - Kingston Park Academy

    On Monday 16th April pupils from Years 4 and 5 attended a Boccia tournament at Outward Academy Portland.

    All pupils had lots of fun and played to the best of their abilities. They also met a former Paralympic referee!

    Our team came 4th in their group. Well done to everyone who took part.

     

  • Year 11 Poetry Assemblies

    20th April 2018 - Ash Hill Academy

    Year 11 students enjoyed their latest poetry assembly this week.  These weekly assemblies are designed to help students to improve their understanding of the poems that are being studied in their GCSE English Literature course.  They are designed to "bring the text to life"; previous assemblies have featured a giant jar of frog spawn and Mr Higgins wearing a wig!

  • Murton Park

    19th April 2018 - Pheasant Bank Academy

    As part of their topic work for Vikings Year 5 visited Murton Park on two visits - 19th & 20th April.  They made clay oil lamps, defended the village from invasion and helped the locals.  In class the children made a Viking timeline and a map showing where the Vikings invaded.

  • Hazel class create maths games.

    19th April 2018 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    Hazel class had a celebration of all the wonderful maths games that were completed as a homework task over the Easter holidays. Mrs Manning and Mrs Coles were so impressed with the effort that was put into these. The children played them with their friends outside in the sunshine.

    Our Special guest today was Raj from Madaan Media, who delivered a highly motivational and inspirational presentation on careers within the Creative Industries.  Through the presentation, we explored the broad range of roles available within the industry and how these numerous positions are vital to making any production a success.  Making a film requires a wide range of skills and professions.  There are far more job roles on offer in the Creative Industries than you might think, with some being much more
