    Please be aware that Craft Club attendance is now full, so Mrs Parsons will not be able to accept any new students. If you would like to attend in the future, please see Mrs Parsons during normal school hours, and it may be possible to join the waiting list for next term.

  • Year 10 BTEC Art & Design Trip

    3rd November 2016 - Manor Croft Academy

    As part of the BTEC course, ‘Specialist pathways in Art & Design’ our current Year 10 students visited Yorkshire Sculpture Park to experience the contemporary architecture and gallery exhibitions.  As well as viewing the open – air sculpture displays, students were encouraged to sketch and photograph the historic landscape.

    This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to experience the various pathways on offer to them in the art world as well as supporting them further in their studies.

  • Operation Christmas Child

    2nd November 2016 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    Generous students and staff at the academy have been busy filling shoe boxes with toys, clothing, drawing equipment, toiletries and sweets in support of the Operation Christmas Child Campaign that is organised by Samaritans Purse.

    A superb 87 shoe boxes have been filled and will now be sent to some of the most disadvantaged children in the world.

    2nd November 2016 - Ash Hill Academy

    Y11 students and their parents/carers were invited to an Information Evening on Tuesday 1st November. The evening began at 5.30pm with a light buffet, followed by a presentation at 6pm, to discuss key dates and deadlines throughout the year, hints and tips on how to revise for examinations and key information about English, Maths and Science. Students also received goody bags, containing supplies to aid them in their journeys to GCSE success.

  • FS1 School Photographs

    1st November 2016 - Hatfield Woodhouse Primary School

    FS1 children will be having their photos taken on Friday 11th November at 9.00am along with any absentees from the main session.

  • Y1 Planetarium Workshop

    1st November 2016 - Wybers Wood Academy

    Mr Morton came to visit with his Planetarium.  Pupils had a fantastic time and learnt all about the planets and even went star gazing! Y1 are now space experts!

  • Big Friendly Giant

    1st November 2016 - Serlby Park Academy

    Our wonderful library was transformed into a theatre for a new production of the BFG. 

    Pupils were enthralled as Anthony Pedley, who played the part of the BFG in the original stage production, told the story of Sophie and her adventures in Giant Country with the lovable, whizzpopping Big Friendly Giant!


    All the major characters were brought to life in this tale of dreams, queens, giants and snozzcumbers!

  • Shakespeare Workshop

    31st October 2016 - Garforth Academy

    On Tuesday 18th October, the English Department were proud to take eighteen of our Most Able and Talented Year 8 English students on a trip to the Garforth Library. Whilst there, students engaged in a Shakespeare Workshop run by Ursula Holden Gill. Ursula Holden Gill is an award winning Actress and a first class Storyteller; effortlessly weaving her magic through spoken word, dance and music. Students were inspired by Gill's presentation of Shakespeare through a variety of mediums. Students came away excite

  • Halloween Fun at Serlby Park

    There was Halloween excitement in the Library as pupils enjoyed creating their own Halloween Lanterns. This was part of the academy’s celebrations of Halloween. Students followed detailed instructions and practiced their cutting skills to create fabulous lanterns, some of which can be seen here.
