  • Exam Success

    5th September 2016 - Manor Croft Academy

    Manor Croft Students have been celebrating their exam results as they leave the Academy and take their next steps in education, employment and apprenticeships.

    66% of our students achieved an A* - C grade in English and 42% achieved A*-C in Mathematics. 96% of students achieved 5 or more A* - G grades or equivalent. Many of our subjects improved their A*- C% including English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, French, PE, Art, Textiles and Resistant Materials.

    Parents and students are reminded that the new academy day will be in effect, from the first day back, and reminders will be given during assemblies as well as form time.

    Notice to Parents:

    The Academy will re-open on Monday, 5th September at our new start time of 8.20am. This will apply to all year groups. Students will spend the first hour with their form tutors, who will distribute their new timetables. If we hold an up-to-date email address for you, your child's timetable will have already been sent to this email address.

    Also, please note that our winter blazer rules now apply and students should wear their blazers around the academy at all times.

There were many success stories and outstanding results achieved and students had staff on hand to help them decide on the next step in their development.     26th August 2016 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    RASA are pleased to announce record levels of progress have been achieved in this year’s Yr11 GCSE summer examination results. Students exceeded expected progress in the core subjects of English and Maths, whilst the Sciences, MFL and Humanities, alongside other option subjects achieved record results.

    Headline Figures – students making expected progress:

    English – 85%
    Maths – 74%
    Biology – 79%
    Chemistry – 89%
    Physics – 93%

    25th August 2016 - The Vale Academy

    Students and staff celebrated The Vale Academy’s best ever GCSE results today (Thursday).

    Principal of the Brigg school Nicola Williams said 72% achieved five A* to Cs, including maths and English, up 9% on last year’s “excellent” results.

    She said: “We are absolutely delighted with this year’s GCSE results which are our best ever.

    “83% of students achieved a grade C or above in English and 77% of students likewise in maths.

    25th August 2016 - Hull Trinity House Academy

    Students at Hull Trinity House Academy have achieved some of the best results in the last three years! Almost a quarter of all the grades recorded were A or A* grades with 20% of students achieving 5 or more A*/A grades. Whilst it is difficult to single out individuals, particular mention should go to Philemon Kaliafetis, Abdallah Sati, Daniel Cockill, Bob Eldon-Smith, Elliot Reed and Matthew Park who all gained 9 or more A*/A results.

  • A record breaking year at De Warenne Academy

    25th August 2016 - De Warenne Academy

    Staff and students at De Warenne Academy are today celebrating record-breaking GCSE results.  GCSE English and Maths results are the best the school has ever achieved, with 61% achieving a C grade or above in both subjects, an increase of over 18%. The percentage of our students gaining 5 A*-Cs including English and Maths at GCSE has also dramatically improved, by 14% in a single year. This is particularly significant as it increases the range of opportunities open to so many more of our students.

    18th August 2016 - De Warenne Academy

    Students and staff at De Warenne Academy are today celebrating some of their best ever Post 16 results. In Year 13 more students than ever have been successful in achieving the highest grades and securing their places at their chosen universities. Notable successes include Adam Davies who achieved A* grades in Mathematics and Physics and has won a place to study Mathematics at the University of Sheffield and Josh Taylor who gained grade A in both Mathematics and Physics.
