    Miss Remington, who is our Student Welfare Officer and Associate Assistant Principal has been delivering assemblies to all year groups on online safety.  As parents there a number of things you can do to ensure your child is kept safe online.

    Thank you so much for helping with donations to the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.

  • Donna Nook

    1st December 2016 - Willows Academy

    The whole school enjoyed a cold but very enjoyable visit to Donna Nook. We saw lots of baby seals feeding, playing and enjoying the winter sun. The children were really enthusiastic throughout the day and loved getting so close to the seals.

  • Takeover Day a great success

    1st December 2016 - De Warenne Academy

    Wednesday 30th November was the first ever takeover day at De Warenne Academy, expertly organised by Mrs Rooney (Associate Principal) and the admin team a fantastic day was had by all. Students spoke of the excitment of following staff around the academy to see what actually happens in the day-to-day running of De Warenne. 

    Throughout the day 186 students took over from various staff in the academy, from walking the corridors with SLT, teaching a lesson or being part of the admin team for the day. Student Ko

  • Busy Bees

    Our Busy Bees nurture group have been very busy throughout this half term. They have made a super display for Autumn and have now completed their Christmas decorating in our Breakfast Club.

  • Felt and Mosaic Workshops at Fountains Abbey

    1st December 2016 - The Grove Academy

    Two very successful Felt Workshops were held at Fountains Abbey, led by Emma Manners, in November.  Despite it being very cold with poor light the KS4 students were able to work on site, in the Abbey.  They produced interesting work for their GCSE portfolios.  The group then used these studies to create exciting, individual felts.  Both students said how much they enjoyed the day.

  • English Rewards

    1st December 2016 - Manor Croft Academy

    Well done to Thomas M, Courtney S, Ruby C, Jemma W, Nikola K and Sam F who were awarded the prizes for attending the most interventions in Year 11 English by the Director of English Mr Fletcher-Markin.  All students are working exceptionally hard and we look forward to the rewards assembly to share more success and celebration.


  • Maths Rewards Assembly

    Miss Barton, who is our Leader of Maths, delivered our first maths rewards assembly this week.  Improving the outcomes in maths is an Academy priority and it was fantastic to see how many students have made progress between mock 1 and mock 2.  Our students have been working incredibly hard, turning up to lots of intervention and accessing one to one tuition.  Students were able to collect a certificate and choose from a number of goodies!  Well done to Miss Barton and all the students.  It was a fantastic e

  • Primary 5-a-side

    1st December 2016 - Manor Croft Academy

    This year Manor Croft Academy PE Department held the first Primary Schools 5-a-side Championship.  Monday, 28th November, saw Eastborough J&I School and Orchard Primary Academy battling it out to be crowned 2016 Champions in the girls competition.  Both schools brought two teams and they played a round robin tournament. After an evening of tough tackling and great goals it was the Orchard Black team who came out on top, they will be back next year to defend their title.  Thursday evening gave the boys their

    30th November 2016 - Craven Primary Academy

    Year 5 students were lucky enough to take a trip to London this term! They watched the amazing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on the West End and visited the Science Museum! It was a truely incredible two days!
