    27th September 2016 - Willoughby Road Primary Academy

    We have had information from Humberside Police regarding an attempted accosting of an 11year old boy this morning (Tues 27th Sept) in the Ashby area. Below is the Police notice.  Please speak to your children about stranger danger and ensure they are not walking to school alone.

    27th September 2016 - Melior Community Academy

    Please see attached an alert from Humberside police that has been emailed to all parents today.

    The alert gives details of a serious incident in the Ashby area today and police are asking all parents and children to be vigilant together with reminding themselves of stranger danger and what to do if they are approached.

    Should you have any further concerns or questions, these should be directed to Humberside Police.

  • Y6 London Trip

    26th September 2016 - The Parks Academy

    On Friday Y6 visited London for the day. The main themes of the day were British Values and People who shaped Britian. It was a fantastic day and the children had a wonderful time. As soon as we can, we will create a page detailing exactly what they did and learned.

  • Parent Voice

    26th September 2016 - The Parks Academy

    On Friday 23rd September the academy held its termly Parent Voice. This was the best attended Parent Voice we've ever had, with around 25 parents and carers in attendance. There were passionate and hearthfelt discussions. The minutes from the meeting will go 'live' as soon as all three parent governors have validated them.

  • YEAR 7 PIE NIGHT

    26th September 2016 - Ash Hill Academy

    Ash Hill Academy held its first Year 7 Pie & Peas night on 26th September. This event allowed Year 7 parents to meet key Year 7 staff, in order to discuss any issues that may have arisen during the transition period. The evening was a great success, with over 40 families attending. Our next Pie nights are on the 3rd and 10th of October.

     

  • Macmillan Coffee afternoon

    26th September 2016 - Estcourt Primary Academy

    On Friday 30th September we will be holding our annual Macmillan Coffee afternoon in the school hall.

  • Under 11's Football Tournament

    On Tuesday 11th October our team will be participating in a tournament at Goals Soccer Centre against other Hull Schools and Academies.

  • Year 6 Visit to Archbishop Sentamu Academy

    On Thursday 13th October our Year 6 Children will be visiting Archbishop Sentamu Academy for Archiefest

  • Cross Country Competition

    On Friday 21st October Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be participating in a Cross Country Competition hoping to go one better on last years fantastic result.

  • Y4 Football Tournament

    The Year 4 Team will be kicking off their season on Tuesday 15th November.

  • British Open Taekwondo Success!

    26th September 2016 - Manor Croft Academy

    Both Mohammed Ahmed and Haleemah Ahmed attended the British Open Taekwondo Championships at The Copper Box Arena in London.  Mohammed and Haleemah were competing with their team Quest Taekondo from Penistone.  Mohammed was successful and claimed a Bronze medal and Haleemah achieved a Gold medal.  Haleemah is National Champion at her weight catergery of 28kg.

    Manor Croft Academy are extremely proud of the Ahmed's family achievements and wish them all the very best in the future.

  • Year 7 Football Team Triumph!

    23rd September 2016 - Garforth Academy

    The Year 7 football team played their first match last night, which was the first round of the English Schools' Cup.......with the astounding final score of 10:1 to Garforth Academy.

    The coaches reported that he boys were impressive from start to finish, showing a great work rate and playing some lovely football on a difficult surface. Goals came from Jamie B (6), Lloyd H(2), Cameron C and Sam M, while Ewan T saved a penalty.

    On Wednesday 21st September 2016, Miss Smith and Mrs Cairns along with Year 8 students went along to Grand Opera House, York to watch the amazing story of David Walliams' ‘Gangsta Granny’. Students from the creative writing, reading and debate club attended the much anticipated showing of Gangsta Granny, and absolutely loved watching the novel come to life.     23rd September 2016 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    We are delighted to inform you that our new Parents, Teachers & Friend's Association Group here at Grange Lane Infant Academy has been named Grown Up Grangers!

    Grown Up Grangers are now preparing for their first big fund raising event, which will be Friday 2nd December. The plan is to have a large Christmas Fayre, with a Santa’s Grotto, stalls, tombola’s, raffles and games.
