    25th May 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    This morning our Year 7 and some Year 8 students were treated to a performance regarding social responsibility. Two actors (Taylor and Doc) provided an exciting and informative performance from the award-winning, national touring, ‘Bin It!’ roadshow. With questions about ‘Who Litters?’, ‘Why Do We Litter?’, and ‘Where Is Your Favourite Clean Place’, the students were engaged and enthused throughout. The performance was also attended by local councillors and Delta Academy Trust staff.

    25th May 2017 - England Lane Academy

    Thank you to all the parents / carers who joined us for our Inspire event. Activities across the school ranged from making photo frames, kites and masks to planting beans and flowers.

    Children in Year 4 had an amazing time at Dearne Valley where they took part in a range of exciting activities. These included the zip-wire, laser quest, archery, bushcraft and camp fire.

    A Delta Academies trust-wide uniform is to be introduced into all secondary academies from September 2017 we are publishing this online to inform you of how this will be rolled out at JWA.

    A group of Y8 and Y9 female students attended the Inspiring Automotive Women event at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit yesterday.  It was a fantastic day where they had the opportunity to meet and be inspired by a number of the UK's highest achieving women in the automotive industry.  

  • 'Wrap, Splat, Hat'

    24th May 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

    This week in our library, primary pupils have been taking part in the 'Wrap, Splat, Hat' programme which is sponsored by Garnier.

    This programme aims to teach children about sun protection and how to have fun in the sun safely.

    Pupils have the opportunity to enter a fantastic poetry competition to remind people to 'Wrap, Splat, Hat' and stay safe in the sun.

    Closing date for the competition is Friday 16th June 2017 and all entries should be handed to Mrs Peel.

  • Sam's Safari Visit

    24th May 2017 - Grange Lane Infant Academy The nursery children had a great time with Sam's Safari last week. They were able to hold and touch a number of animals that many hadn't seen before. We had the pleasure of meeting Egor the Tortoise and was fascinated watching him eat a banana.
