Well done to all of the children, staff and parents for supporting us with the race for life.  We have raised a fantastic amount of money, the grand total to date is £1067.50!!

  • Year 2 Topic Trip of the Local Area

    20th January 2017 - Weelsby Academy

    Pupils enjoyed a very informative coach tour of Grimsby, Cleethorpes and surrounding areas.  They visited the Grimsby Docks and the Dock Tower, Blundell Park Football Stadium, Cleethorpes Dscovery Centre and Waltham Windmill with it's mini railway!

  • Orchard Academy Transition Sessions

    19th January 2017 - Manor Croft Academy

    Over the last few months Year 6 pupils from The Orchard Academy have been attending Manor Croft Academy on Wednesday's to improve their ability and success in Maths and English.  This is part of Manor Croft's relentless drive to improve standards in the core areas, whilst also enabling students from one of our main feeder schools to experience life at high school, thus helping with their transition into Key Stage 3 later this year.

  • KS4 MOCK EXAMS

    18th January 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    The KS4 Mock Exam series will begin week commencing Monday 23rd January. Students will meet at 8.25 (morning exams) or 12.30 (afternoon exam) in the Auditorium. Any student arriving late to an exam, must wait at student reception to be escorted into the exam room by either Mrs Welch or Mrs Bromilow.

    The following message has been sent from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service in regard to head lice treatment:

    “We would like to remind parents and carers to always read and follow the instructions carefully when using chemical insecticide products, typically sold in chemists, to treat head lice. This is because these treatments contain flammable elements.   • Year 7 and 8 Indoor Athletics

    17th January 2017 - Manor Croft Academy

    The athletics season kicked off on the 17th January with the Kirklees Schools qualifiers at Batley Sports Centre. Three Manor Croft teams, Year 7 Boys and Year 8 Boys and Girls, qualified for the Kirklees finals on Tuesday, 7th February at the Barn on Leeds Road.  The students took part in track and field events and represented the Academy with pride and passion all afternoon.  Parents who came to support the event commented on how well behaved and organised the teams from MCA were on the day.  Although we

    On Friday 13th January, 22 pupils, 4 staff and lots of supportive parents, travelled to Sheffield to take part in the Young Voices musical concert.

  • Cheaper travel with the 11-16 MegaTravel Pass

    16th January 2017 - Don Valley Academy

    Children aged 11-16 and living in South Yorkshire can apply for a MegaTravel Pass to prove to bus drivers, tram conductors and ticket sellers that they are entitled to travel at reduced cost on public transport.
