Well done to all of the children, staff and parents for supporting us with the race for life.  We have raised a fantastic amount of money, the grand total to date is £1067.50!!

  • Art Exhibition

    1st December 2017 - Estcourt Primary Academy

    Thank you to everyone who attended our recent pop up gallery. It was a fantastic opportunity to share all of the creative work that is being produced throughout the academy. We are now displaying some of our creative journeys from the year as part of #Limitless. Take a trip to see it before the 13th of December in the old Argos building in the town centre.

  • Inclusive Football Tournament

    1st December 2017 - Pheasant Bank Academy

    On Friday 24 November 2017 our school sent 4 teams to the Keepmoat Stadium to take part in an Inclusive Football Tournament.  The children learned skills with the FA and they played matches against other teams.  Lots of schools took part, but our school came 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. We received compliments afterwards from the organization for manners used, respect shown and great conduct used.

  • Santa!

    1st December 2017 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    Thank you to the PTFA (Parents, Teachers, Friends Association) of Grange Lane Infant Academy for arranging a very special visitor for our school.

    One very cool Santa came to visit. With many ho ho ho's, loads of presents and numerous belly laughs, he made our day extra special. Santa's chief elf took photographs of all the little visitors to his grotto and will have them delivered in time for Christmas break.

  • Local Derby Win

    30th November 2017 - Garforth Academy

    Superb result on a ffffrrreeezzzing night for the Year 9 boys this evening. Resounding win in local derby: 5-1 against Temple Moor in the Leeds School FA Cup.

  • Christmas Fair

    29th November 2017 - Mersey Primary Academy

    Come and join us for our Christmas Fair on Wednesday 6th December. Parents can collect their child/children from the usual collection/drop off doors between 1.45 - 1.55pm. Entrance through the main entrance(office) from 2pm. A range of stalls as follows; tombola, crafts, cakes, toys, jars/bottles, class photos, reindeer food, raffle.

    All donations for the tombola, cake and bottle stalls will be great appreciated. please bring donations in to school from Mon 4th Dec.

  • Sportshall athletics

    29th November 2017 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    Having won the Garforth Schools Sporthall athletics competition we went forward to the East Leeds competition. We got through the semi finals coming second and then at the finals last Monday at Wetherby we came third overall. Amazing performances from the team and many thanks to all the parents and supporters that cheered our talented athletes on.

    We can confirm that the renovations to the reception class outdoor area will start on Tuesday 5th December for approx 7 working days. Please take care around the construction site.

  • Ofsted praises Academy

    28th November 2017 - The Vale Academy

    Improved student outcomes and effective leadership were praised by Ofsted inspectors following a visit to The Vale Academy.

     The academy retains its ‘good’ status awarded in March, 2013, after a short inspection earlier this month (November).

     Principal Nicola Williams was “really pleased” with the findings.

    She said: “Staff, students, governors and parents should be proud of this report. The Vale Way has come up trumps again.

    27th November 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    Ash Hill Academy Celebrated Their Best Results in History!

    During the evening of Tuesday 21st November, Ash Hill Academy opened its doors wide, to welcome back the ‘Class of 2017.’ Principal, John Higgins, proudly congratulated the first year group in his charge, who had begun a very significant improvement trend in academic standards, since joining the Delta academies network.  Ash Hill Academy is now in the top 10% of most improved schools nationally in terms of Progress 8 scores and the top 17% for Basics

  • Hull Junior Open Exhibition

    We are incredibly proud of the hard work and commitment shown by our Art pupils who have submitted work for the Hull Junior Open Exhibition.

    These pupils worked in their own time to develop their own ideas and entries for the exhibition.  

    We are very pleased to announce that 5 pupils have been successful and will have their work on show in the exhibition until 21st January 2018.

  • The TGA CHILDREN IN NEED SOUP OFF!!!

    27th November 2017 - The Grove Academy

    For Children in Need the key stage 3 students competed for the title of The Grove Academy SOUP-OFF WINNERS as part of the fundraising activities held throughout the day!

    They made a sweet potato curry soup, a mulligatawny soup and a leek and potato soup! The staff and students had to work together to make the best soup! All the soups were tasty but overall the best soup was voted as being the sweet potato curry soup, and it was utterly delicious... In fact you could say it was SOUPER...

  • Post 16 Event “The Hero Project”

    A presentation was delivered today by The Hero Project, an education programme run by the charity Anthony Nolan.  Anthony Nolan helps to save the lives of people with blood cancer by matching them with donors willing to give blood stem cells (bone marrow) for transplants.  The Hero Project works in collaboration with NHS Blood and Transplant to deliver presentations to 16 to 18 year olds about bone marrow, blood and organ donation.   The presentation dispelled common myths, explained the importance of donat

    25th November 2017 - Kingston Park Academy

    This year Kingston Park Academy will again be taking part in Hallam Fm’s Mission Christmas. People can donate a gift for a child from 0-18 years to be given to underprivileged children in our area who may otherwise not receive a gift at Christmas. If anyone would like to donate a gift it must be new and not wrapped and can be handed into the school office by 8th December. Thank you for your continued support.
