    Students will be leaving after registration and will be back around 5.30pm -6pm. Due to the current weather please ensure that your child has sun cream and plenty of water. Non uniform that is appropriate for the trip can be worn.

  • Hatfield Water Park - Year 5 trip

    3rd July 2014 - Hatfield Woodhouse Primary School

    Last week, Year 5 went on the annual trip to Hatfield Water Park.

    On one of the coldest days of the summer, Year 5 took part in raft building and various watersports.  The children worked well as a team and grew in confidence during the day.

    A recent non uniform day raised a staggering £833.77 which has been donated to Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance in memory of Year 10 student Caitlin Smith who tragically died in May. A well done to all staff & students involved, the most we have ever raised!

  • Doncaster School Athletics Championships 2014

    1st July 2014 - De Warenne Academy

    Students across Years 7 to 10 competed in the annual Doncaster Schools Athletics Championships held at the Keepmoat Stadium.

    The first day of the event saw years 7 and 8 taking part with Elisha Brown destroying the competition in the 100m heats and finishing a credible 5th in the final. Daniel Newby won his heat in the 200m and ran brilliantly to finish 3rd in the final. Field event success came from Lauren Coggins 3rd in the shot put and Hollie Rowe 4th in the long Jump.   • Farewell to Year 13, class of 2014

    In June we wished farewell to Year 13 students at a special celebration assembly. Awards from individual subjects were presented to students for effort and attitude during their time in the sixth form. There were also thanks given to the Head Boy and Girl and their deputies for their excellent service to the academy.     At the beginning of year 10 I was recommended by Miss Wain-Hobson, my PE teacher, that I join an athletics club due to the success of winning the 200m with a time of 27.75 at the English Institute of Sport School Partnership Trust athletics competition. Miss Wain-Hobson wrote me an information letter explaining everything I needed to do to join the nearest athletics club, which just so happened to be 20 minutes away from my house. She rang the club (Doncaster Athletics Club) and organised for me to go down

  • Huddersfield Town & Dewsbury Rams Activities

    24th June 2014 - Manor Croft Academy

    Once again, Huddersfield Town and Dewsbury Rams Success Centre are holding activities during the first 2 weeks of the school summer holiday.  The activities are targeted at pupils aged 8 – 11 and will take place 10.00am – 3.00pm across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week (Only one week will be held at  Dewsbury Rams).

  • Book Fair

    19th June 2014 - Wainwright Primary Academy

    The book fair is back! We will be holding a Scholastic Book Fair after school for 1 week, starting from Wednesday 25th June - Tuesday 1st July in the school hall.

     

    The good news is that due to our success last time, the books will now be half price! This will be our last book fair until March 2015 so please support us as much as you can.

     

    Every book you buy helps us to earn free books forour school. We were able to purchase new books for every Year Group from the proceeds we earned at the last book fair.

    Sports Day this year took place on Wednesday 18 June. Holly came into the competition as holders of the title, a position they had maintained for three consecutive years.
