  • MacMillan Coffee Morning

    22nd September 2014 - Wainwright Primary Academy

    We are holding a MacMillan Coffee Morning on Friday 26th September from 9.00 am - 10.15 pm in the Upper School Hall. Parents will be able to buy a cup of tea or coffee and we will be selling cakes and buns. All money raised will go to MacMillan Cancer Support.

     

    Come along, have a chat, a drink and a cake - all while raising money for this worthwhile charity.

  • C6 Careers: Record number of Uni applications

    20th September 2014 - The Doncaster Collegiate Sixth Form

    This year the number of students applying to go to University from accross C6 has increased with other Students going on to gain Apprenticeships and employment.

    Rossington All Saints & Ash Hill Acadmey's Sixth Form has almost doubled.

    Serlby Park and De Warenne ahve also seen a significant increase with Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities becoming popular.

    Don Valley Academy Sixth Form have successfully reached their highest ever percentage of students applying for University – with 89% applying for Septem

    The autumn term has plenty of extra-curricular activities for all students to get involved with. If you need any further information, contact the department which is running the event. All students are welcome to attend and they are completely free.

  • Prefect Applications

    19th September 2014 - Manor Croft Academy

    On Friday over 40 Students were put through their paces by participating in Prefect interviews. This was the second part of the selection process, following on from an initial letter of interest.

    The result will be out this week and although there will a lot of disappointed students they can be proud of their achievements today. Every student represented themselves in a remarkable fashion.

    Once the results are public the bar will be raised further to find out who will be Head Boy and Head Girl for the 2014-1

  • Golden Ticket Award

    18th September 2014 - Simpsons Lane Academy

    Any children achieveing 100% attendance in one week are awarded a "Golden Ticket". This ticket is then entered into a prize draw and each week the winner receives a £20 Morrisons voucher!

    Attendance is very important to us and we believe it deserves a reward!!

    Queen Elizabeth’s Academy would like to invite you to the Open Evening being held on Tuesday 30th September at Queen Elizabeth’s Academy from 5:00pm starting in the Main Hall.

    On the evening, student ambassadors will be leading guided tours of the facilities on offer at the Academy. Your child will have the chance to take part in lessons and activities; meet our dedicated members of staff and take part in the exciting learning experiences taking place.

  • Mr Zafar Iqbal

    15th September 2014 - Manor Croft Academy

    Dear Families,

    It is with great regret that I am writing to inform you Mr Zafar Iqbal, our ICT and Business Studies teacher sadly passed away on Saturday 13th September. Mr Iqbal died as a result of a short respiratory illness that was made worse by the fact that he suffered from the condition cystic fibrosis. Our thoughts go out to Mr Iqbal’s family.

  • Year 2 Allotment visit

    15th September 2014 - Wainwright Primary Academy

    On Friday 12th September the Year 2 children went on a walk to a local allotment to begin their topic of 'How does your garden grow?'

     

    They found lots of different vegetables, the children brought a variety of them back to school as they are going to be conducting a growing Science investigation.

  • EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBERS

    It is vital that we have emergency contact numbers for all parents or a family member available in an emergency. There has been a lot of sickness this week at school unfortunately which has highlighted the need for these details.

  • Sure Start Fitness Club

    Sure start have invited our Reception children to attend an after school club starting on Thursday 18th September. The club will run from 3.30pm - 4.15pm for a 4 week period, it will be held in the Lower School Hall.

    The Show My Homework link is now on the website under 'Useful Links'. This replaces the need for paper diaries and all homework set will be displayed.  Individual login in details are available to students and also parents; you will only be able to view homework that is relevant to your child.

    We have been invited to attend the Nottinghamshire Schools Athletic Association Cross Country League over three dates. Our Year 5 & 6 children have been invited to enter, the teams will be mixed boys & mixed girls.

     

    The dates are as follows:

    • Saturday 13th December
