    22nd May 2015 - The Vale Academy

    Musical talent came to the fore when Brigg students took important examinations.

    The Vale Academy’s Principal Nicola Williams said students received a “fantastic” set of results in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music exams, which the school hosts.

  • Reduced Shakespeare Company

    22nd May 2015 - De Warenne Academy

    A group of students went to local theatre Cast in May to see the Reduced Shakespeare Company's new play "The art of comedy". The group enjoyed a show full of fun and laughter. The energetic physical style of the piece really inspired the students to use this style in their own work. They were even lucky enough to meet the cast after the show!

  • Inter House Rounders Tournament

    22nd May 2015 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    Last night students took part in the inter house rounders tournament and the turn out was fantastic!! Each house was well represented, gave 100% and showed some amazing sportsmanship skills. The tournament was extremely competitive and Irwin and Parks had to battle it out through two extra innings just to get into the final, with Parks winning by just half a rounder.

  • Academy Closes for Half Term.

    22nd May 2015 - Estcourt Primary Academy

    The Academy closes at 3:05 today and reopens on Tuesday, 2nd June.  Breakfast Club from 8am with doors opening at 8:40.

  • After School Cricket Club

    21st May 2015 - Wainwright Primary Academy

    Mr Blackwell will be running the Cricket Club after school again this year for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, this will take place on a Tuesday from 3.30 - 4.30pm starting week commencing 15th September 2015.


    Letters have been sent out to a certain amount of pupils, and the successful pupils will be notified by letter. If you do require a letter please speak to Mr Blackwell.

    Many of our Year 11 catering students have finished their coursework and have completed the final practical’s. This year’s students have been particularly talented with their creativity around meal construction and nutritionally balanced menus. Their commitment has not just been towards their exams, throughout the year they have created cakes and buns for charity and school events.     The academy's catering will be managed by Chartwells Catering Services with effect from 1st June 2015.  This is an exciting opportunity and we are looking forward to the introduction of the new menus. (See below).

    There will be no change to current methods of payment or the availablilty of free school meals.

  • Art and Photography

    17th May 2015 - Queen Elizabeth's Academy

    Over the spring term all Year 7 Art students researched and designed a picture based on the theme of ‘Jesus in Art’. They picked a story about Jesus and then for homework they had to collect resources for this idea, before drawing out a composition and choosing the best media for their picture. The finished A4 piece was then entered into our yearly Year 7 Art and RE cross curricular competition. Below are a few examples of some student’s lovely work:

  • Saturday Morning Maths

    16th May 2015 - Queen Elizabeth's Academy

    Saturday morning Maths is starting for Year 10 from 16 May until 15 July and continuing from September onwards.The Maths department has implemented new intervention strategies much earlier to support students to avoid the 'last minute' catch-up as the GCSE exams approach in Year 11.Year 10 students have been issued with revision study guides and workbooks.  These have been offered to all students but they needed to return the reply slip signed by parents in order to claim them.With effect from 1 June, all s

    Our Pandas enjoyed a fantastic day out this week as they visited the Tropical Butterfly House near Sheffield.  The children spent the day finding out about habitats, conservation, fur, feathers and scales.  We met and learnt about some very interesting animals, reptiles and mini beasts.  We also bumped into a few dinosaurs!
