  • Make £5 Blossom

    20th October 2015 - Estcourt Primary Academy

    On Tuesday 20th October 2 children went to the Guildhall with Mrs Leslie for the launch of this years Make £5 Blossom. They spent the morning meeting their business partner and looking at their Big 13 skills. Our business partner this year is A.B. ROOMS locksmiths who have loaned us £150 to start our own business. the. Holden have lots of ideas and can't wait to get started.

  • Attendance Reward

    20th October 2015 - Crookesbroom Primary Academy

    This term, the class with the best attendance will be rewarded with a pizza-making master class at our local Dominoes Pizza! Each child will create their own pizza and take it away for lunch!

    Pupils helped to prepare  and then taste a healthy vegetarian chinese noodle dish and learnt about healthy vegetables and the importance of regular exercise.

  • Y4 Investigating Food Chains!

    18th October 2015 - Wybers Wood Academy

    In Year Four we have been learning all about food chains. We loved dissecting owl pellets to investigate their diet and we have been identifying the skulls and bones that we found! We have been able to identify voles and rats! 


  • School to Work Programme

    16th October 2015 - Queen Elizabeth's Academy

    All Year 12 Queen Elizabeth's Academy students took part in 2 workshops based on Career Orientation and Employability Capabilities on Friday 16 October 2015. At these worshops students learned how to explore their career strengths and also had the opportunity to explore their skills in CV writing.

    They were joined by staff from Lloyds Banking Group and Capita.

  • Parental Engagement Forum

    16th October 2015 - Manor Croft Academy

    Parents and friends of Manor Croft attended the Parental Engagement Forum's first meeting on 15th October and it was a great success. Presentations and discussions on Teaching, Learning and Assessment as well as Behaviour, Attendance and Progress were extremely useful and lots of great ideas were brought to the table. The next meeting will be on Thursday 3rd December 2015 and the topic for discussion will be homework.

  • GCSEPOD arrives at Hull Trinity

    We have just made access to GCSEPOD available to our year 10 and 11 students, they have all had their introductory session. This resource will allow students to access over 2500 online revision podcasts that can also be downloaded and viewed on their mobile devices.   • Parent Support Group

    16th October 2015 - The Grove Academy

    The Grove Academy is facilitating a support group for parents. The group is the brainchild of one of our parents who felt she wanted to highlight some of the challenges parents in Harrogate are facing. The aim of the group is to support those parents who are struggling  in whatever way. She has recently  attended a network day in Birmingham which focussed on  child sexual exploitation. There are so many negative influences on young people today that parents sometimes find it difficult to monitor their child

    16th October 2015 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    Congratulations to Megan Grant who is through to the semi finals of the 'Golden Apron' competition which takes place on Saturday 24th October.  

    The competition is in it's third year and is open to 14-19 year olds throughout Yorkshire. The semi finals will take place at The Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School where Megan will cook her submitted dish in the morning and a dish set by Michelin Star Chef, James Mackenzie, in the afternoon.  Dishes will be judged on innovation, presentation and use of local produce.


  • Year 5 Bikeability Award Assembly

    This morning the whole school and year 5 parents were invited to attended an award ceremony for our year 5 students to receive their certificates and badges from Bikeability First steps Cycle. They all passed levels 1 and 2, well done year 5 we are very proud of you.

  • Macmillan Coffee Morning

    16th October 2015 - Wybers Wood Academy

    Wybers Wood Tearooms were open this morning to help raise money for Macmillan.  A big thank you to all our visitors and everyone who donated such yummy cakes!

    Well done to our School Councillors who waited the tables beautifully. 

    We raised £112.57.  Thank you very much.

  • Year 7 Film Premier

    15th October 2015 - Queen Elizabeth's Academy

    Students, staff and parents had a great evening on Thursday 15 October 2015 at the Old Library Theatre in Mansfield. Students, families and friends were invited to watch the premier screening of the film they had created during the Summer School Programme.

    The film, titled "The Found", was showcased to an enthusiastic audience and they were overwhelmed by the quality of the production.

    Year 5 enjoyed a visit from local author Tracey Todd who talked to them about their favourite books and read an extract from her own book 'Unscanned.'

  • Active-Eat-y Club

    15th October 2015 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    Thank you to all the parents who came and joined our Active'Eat-Y Club with Sarah from Active Fusion. The club runs every Thursday after school and is open to years 1 and 2. During the session children get to join in some fun and active games plus enjoy healthy foods and treats! We thought it would be great for parents to come and see what happens and join in!

  • 11-18 Travel Pass

    15th October 2015 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    Students aged between 11-18 living in South Yorkshire can get discounted travel with an 11-16 Mega Travel pass or a 16-18 student pass. The pass is free and you can travel on any bus or tram in South Yorkshire for 70p per journey. No pass means full fare!
