Well done to all of the children, staff and parents for supporting us with the race for life.  We have raised a fantastic amount of money, the grand total to date is £1067.50!!

  • Academy Re-Opens Tuesday 7th June

    5th June 2016 - Estcourt Primary Academy

    Please note, the academy is closed for training on Monday 6th June.

    We sometimes undertake joint training with the other Hull SPTA academies, on this occasion, there will not be any of the admin team on site.

    For any enquiries, please call into the office, or telephone 01482 224336, as usual from Tuesday morning.

    Estcourt Primary Academy will be back open from 8am Tuesday 7th June for the free breakfast club, and from 8:40am for registration.

    Every year Hull Trinity House Academy organises a Sponsored Walk to raise money for charity. This year's Sponsored Walk was again very successful. We would like to thank all our staff and students for their valiant effort and their record breaking pledges.

  • New Behaviour Policy

    Please find below a copy of the New Behaviour Policy which will take effct from September 2016.

    In addition students will need to adhere to the following rules which take effect from Monday 6th June:

    • No makeup, nail varnish, acrylics or nail extensions are to be worn by students

    • No jewellery is to be worn by students

    26th May 2016 - The Elland Academy

    Today, years 10, 9 and 8 were invited to a workshop that launched the Art Homework Project.

    Mr Hudson would like to thank both the students and staff for making the workshop a success.

    The Workshop was entitled, ‘Postcards of Hope’ and with an introduction by Mr Hudson, everyone began eagerly designing their own postcards of hope.  The aim of the project is to design postcards that send messages of hope out to all those in the world close and far who need remembering.   • Murton Park

    26th May 2016 - Worlaby Academy

    On Thursday 26th May, Years 5 and 6 travelled to Murton Park to become Vkings for the day.

    They got dressed in costumes of the ages and carried out a range of activities from grinding wheat, weapons training (with blunt, dummy weapons), guard duty, pottery, farming and house work. They also had to keep the Lord entertained during lunch.

  • London Trip 2016: Parents Information Event

    This afternoon in Year One our science lesson was very fishy! As part of our science topic 'Looking at animals' we have been looking at different types of fish and comparing their similarities and differences. What do you think makes a fish a fish? We investigated them using our senses and had lots of fun!

  • Dewsbury Big Sing

    25th May 2016 - Manor Croft Academy

    On Wednesday 25th May 2016 Manor Croft Academy students took part in the first ever BIG SING Concert at the Elim Pentecostal Church in Dewsbury town centre.  The concert was organised by members of Kirklees Music School and saw students from various local Primary and Secondary Schools performing both vocal and instrumental pieces.  Mr Ryder and Miss Lyons attended the event and were both extremely impressed by the choir and the Rock School performance.  Many thanks to Mr Scriven and Mr Merry for their work

  • Countryside Live 2016

    24th May 2016 - Simpsons Lane Academy

    For all their hard work this year, the Academy Council were treated to a day at Countryside Live at Ledston.  They all had a go at making their own beeswax candle, racing ferrets and even tried out being a jockey.  Lots of fun was had by all especially when watching the dancing sheep!

    As part of staff continued professional development at The Elland Academy the vocational faculty teaching staff experienced what it would be like to be a construction student, with no previous experience staff were cutting, shaping and soldering pieces of copper.

  • Careers Club

    On Monday 23rd May, Elisha Ainsley – a performing artist that recently made it to the final auditions for the West End musical Wicked came in to speak to our students at our regular weekly Careers Club.

    She discussed her education, journey into musical theatre, application & audition processes, behind the scenes and more!

  • Rock Challenge Northern Finals 2016

    Our J Rock journey so far has been incredible and we are thrilled to inform you that your childs ongoing dedication and commitment and the outstanding efforts that went into this year’s Rock Challenge performance has paid off, Craven Primary Academy have secured a place at The Northern Finals!

    The Northern finals are taking place on Thursday 30th June. The Final is being held at Grimsby Arena. Transport will be provided for the children to travel to Grimsby from the Academy on the morning of 30th June

  • Year 8 Options Evening

    24th May 2016 - Manor Croft Academy

    On Tuesday 24th May 2016 Year 8 students and their parents/carers were invited to attend the Year 8 Options Evening.  Discussions were had with teachers, students and parents regarding which option subjects they might take forward into Year 9 and study at a qualification level.  It was well attended and students now have to make their choices on their pathway sheets.  Please remind students to return their pathway sheets to Student Reception by Friday 10th June 2016.

  • A Midsummer Night's Dream at Caxton Theatre

    23rd May 2016 - John Whitgift Academy
    On Tuesday April 26th, students from years 7-10 went to see a performance of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream at Caxton Theatre in Cleethorpes.
    Mrs Shephard and Miss Robertson took 7 students to the performance to celebrate the Bard's birthday which was on 23rd April.
    Although it was a late night, all students behaved fantastically well and greatly enjoyed the show.
