  • Silver Attendance Certificates

    18th March 2016 - Crookesbroom Primary Academy

    Well Done to these children who were awarded with a Silver Attendance Certificate for 100% attendance since September. Keep it up!

  • Not in Our Community live link up

    18th March 2016 - Hull Trinity House Academy

    This morning 24 Stage 3 students took part in a live link up event organised for the national Child Sexual Exploitation Day (CSE). They discussed live with other secondary schools accross the region how to help protect children against sexual exploitation.

  • Sport Relief: Friday 18th March

    Sport, sport, and yes....more sport was the theme of today!

  • Medical Day

    18th March 2016 - Manor Croft Academy

    Twleve of our year 10 students participated in a Medical Challenge day at Cardinal Heenan School where they were given insight into life as a medical student.  They worked within mixed groups with students from other schools including Roundhay, Allerton Grange and Cardinal Heenan.  The challenges were divided into three groups; anatomy, medical ethics and CPR with Chloe Aston and Molly Waring being part of the winning CPR Challenge group.

  • Easter Workshop

    18th March 2016 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    Children who gained 100% attendance for the term were invited with their parents or carers to a special Easter workshop on Friday as an extra treat from Doncaster's Family Learning services.

    The children were very good at making rabbits which were disappearing down their burrows, which we all quickly re-named Bunny Bottoms!

  • 100% Attendance

    18th March 2016 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    Well done to all 34 children who attended school everyday for the whole of the Spring Term!

    We celebrated in our assembly by awarding these children with attendance certificates, an Easter egg and swimming voucher.

    Some of these children were our youngest, our nursery pupils! Amazing - well done everyone!

    Doncaster Council like to celebrate great attendance also, so we have sent details to Sam and Sammie!


  • Our Sport Relief raises £119!

    In true sport relief style we hopped, skipped, jumped, ran and cheered our away around the school field in support of this great cause!

  • Parent Partnership Challenge

    17th March 2016 - Craven Primary Academy

    Our Parent Partnership Challenge this term had a Easter Twist, hosted by Mr Whitehead and Mr Rhodes the children had to use various skills to design, budget for materials and build a structure which could vertically support a hard boiled egg for 15 seconds. Points were awarded for design, amount of materials purchased and if their creation did indeed support the egg.

    We had a great afternoon in the hall with KS2, and KS1 took up the challenge in teh classrooms.

  • A Taste of History

    17th March 2016 - Weelsby Academy

    Else Johnson from A Taste of History came to visit us to help us learn more about life in Ancient Greece.  As usual, she brought along a very interesting (and delicious) range of recipes for us to sample!  Most of the foods that we tried were similar to foods which might have been eaten by the Ancient Greeks, such as olives, honey and bread.  Lots of us were able to help Else prepare her delectable dishes and after that we enjoyed tasting them!  We tried lots of different foods and gave our opinions!   • Y6 Trip to The Jungle Zoo

    17th March 2016 - Wybers Wood Academy

    Pupils enjoyed a fun filled visit to The Jungle Zoo in Cleethorpes and learnt lots of interesting facts about the different animals there. 

  • Big Bang Fair

    16th March 2016 - Manor Croft Academy

    During Science week, 30 of our year 8 students attended the Big Bang Fair at the NEC in Birmingham.  The event gave our students the opportunity to view some of the latest scientific and engineering innovations by participating in a number of hands on activities, experiments and interactive workshops.  They also got to see a real ‘mad scientist’ make non-Newtonium liquid jump off a speaker!

  • Business & Employability Day

    16th March 2016 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    The academy recently ran the second annual Business & Emplyability Day with the whole school being off timetable for the day with a range of activities planned for pupils to interact with local businesses to find out mor about the local labour market and to develop employability skills.  Students took part in a careers fair, question carousel, workshops and mock interviews.  All Y11 students had the opportunity to have a 1:1 mock interview with a business volunteer.

  • Wear a Hat

    15th March 2016 - Hull Trinity House Academy

    Hull Trinity House Academy will support on Thursday 24th March the Wear a Hat campain to raise awareness about Brain Tumours. This is a subject particularly important to us at the Academy and you can read the story of our Exam Officer, Mrs Jayne Reffin, in the Hull Daily Mail

    Fundraising events will take place on the day but you can already purchase some merchandise from the Academy.

    Prizes will be available for the best staff hat and student hats on the day!
