  • Rugby girls win praise

    Committed students took part in an Under 13 and Under 15 Lincolnshire County Girls’ Rugby Competition in Nettleham – and earned praise from a top rugby union official.

     It follows the success of girls’ rugby coaching at The Vale for Years 8 to 10 during their PE lessons.

    Many have also been taking part in the after school club run by Mrs Taylor.

     She said: “The Vale has taken part in all of the North Lincolnshire competitions and remain unbeaten.

  • Year 7 boys triumphant

    26th May 2017 - The Vale Academy

    Year Seven boys’ football team returned to The Vale with a cup after beating Sir John Nelthorpe 4-1 in a North Lincolnshire final.

     Undefeated in group games, played since September, they qualified for the competition’s final stages.

     The boys beat Scunthorpe’s Melior Community Academy in a close fought semi-final.

     They had several players, including their captain, ruled out by injury beforehand but were triumphant regardless.

  • We are 'Blooming Amazing' at the flower show!

    26th May 2017 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    Well done to the Gardening club children and Mrs Waterhouse.  

    The children entered a competion where they designed their very own garden with a chance of winning £250 for our school and £500 for their chosen charity ... and guess what ... because they won their category their winning design was constructed by a professional landscape gardener and is currently being exhibited in The Frenchgate Shopping Centre over the summer.

  • BIN IT! ROADSHOW

    25th May 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    This morning our Year 7 and some Year 8 students were treated to a performance regarding social responsibility. Two actors (Taylor and Doc) provided an exciting and informative performance from the award-winning, national touring, ‘Bin It!’ roadshow. With questions about ‘Who Litters?’, ‘Why Do We Litter?’, and ‘Where Is Your Favourite Clean Place’, the students were engaged and enthused throughout. The performance was also attended by local councillors and Delta Academy Trust staff.

    Children in Year 4 had an amazing time at Dearne Valley where they took part in a range of exciting activities. These included the zip-wire, laser quest, archery, bushcraft and camp fire.
