A Night at the Musicals great success
20th December 2017 - De Warenne AcademyThis December we performed our Christmas musical spectacular at De Warenne Academy, ‘A Night at the Musicals’. Students have been working hard twice a week since September, learning a number of songs and scenes from popular musicals such as; Wicked, Hairspray, Matilda, Les Miserables, Legally Blonde and many more.
The show also has an underlying plot of an amateur drama club putting on its first big musical as we follow the trials and tribulations of Henry, Margo and Sandra the co-directors of the show. What

19th December 2017 - Serlby Park AcademySerlby Park Library is delighted to be selected as the national winner of the Penguin Random House Publishing House Free Prize Draw for 2017.A fabulous selection of the latest books for children have just arrived in school including stories by Rick Riordan, Jacqueline Wilson, Clare Balding and Tom Fletcher. These books are a wonderful addition to our library and be available for pupils to borrow straight away. -

Y11 Enrichment Intervention
15th December 2017 - Melior Community AcademyStarting on the 3rd January 2018 all Y11 will be attending after school intervention enrichment until 3.30PM. Each student has been issued with a new timetable explaining where they need to be. These sessions take precedent over any detentions. We are aware that some sessions are already running. All students will be provided with tea before they leave at 3.30PM.
There will also be 2 revision weekends for Science and English/maths - details to follow

Golden Apple Award
15th December 2017 - Hull Trinity House AcademyTeaching Assistant Michelle Adams was nominated by staff, current students and Old Boys for the Golden Apple Award with Hull Daily Mail for her services at the Academy.
Michelle has the care of many students in different situations and circumstances and with different needs; from in-lesson support, to exam reading and scribing for students, to driving a powerboat or supporting students with additional needs so they can participate in sailing activities.
Michelle has taken extra qualifications so that she is
