15th January 2018 - Grange Lane Infant AcademyA huge well done to our year 2 choir for their fabulous effort and contribution to the Young Voices concert at the Sheffield arena this week.
It is also the last time Mrs Van Steen will be taking the children as the lead choir teacher as she is taking retirement at the end of this month.

Young Voices
15th January 2018 - Pheasant Bank AcademyWe took over 80 children from Year 3 to Year 6 to sing at the Young Voices choir at Sheffield Arena on Monday 15 January 2018. There were over 5000 children at the event and the children enjoyed singing a range of songs alongside professional singers and dancers. It was an amazing experience and the children's behaviour was impeccable. We look forward to going again next year. Thank you to all the parents who supported the visit.

West Yorkshire Playhouse Visit
12th January 2018 - The Elland AcademyThis week we visited the West Yorkshire Playhouse Costume Department with year 11 Hair & Beauty and Media students. Students gained an insight into what it would be like working for the Theatre and were able to try on costumes to become dapper 20’s Gatsby gents, nurses, doctors and various animals… Including a very large panda! In a few weeks’ time some of these costumes will be used for students whom are acting in our very own horror movie trailer.

SATs Boosters
12th January 2018 - Kingston Park AcademyIn order to support your child to achieve their best in this years SAT’s we are extending the school day on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to 3.45pm. We would like all Year 6 pupils to attend all sessions every week. To encourage them to attend we will be rewarding the children who have achieved 100% attendance at boosters after SAT’s week.
The booster sessions will start Monday 15th January. Please make sure you have completed and returned your child's permission slip.

Bikeability
12th January 2018 - Kingston Park AcademyWe are delighted to be able to offer the Bikeability course in school again this year. Letters will be sent home shortly with full details and dates when your child’s class will be taking part.
Foundation and KS1 children do not require their own bike but all children in KS2 who would like to take part will require their own bike and helmet. Please see the letter regarding the criteria your child's bike needs to meet to take part.

Tigers Trust Opportunity for Year 11 Students
11th January 2018 - Hull Trinity House AcademyThe Tigers Trust have recently been in the school talking to the year 11’s about their NCS project that takes place in the summer holidays. NCS is a 20 day personal development programme, that is recognised by both universities and employers, as well as having lots more amazing benefits. The programme is funded by the government, with them investing £1,500 in each child’s place. The cost of the programme is a maximum of £35 and this includes a 4 night residential in the Lake District in week 1. For more in

KS3 Badminton Team have qualified to represent Ingleby Manor School at the Cleveland Championships later this month.

10th January 2018 - Serlby Park AcademyA brand new set of fantastic books have just arrived in our library courtesy of the children's reading charity Booktrust.
The School Library Pack has been carefully selected to provide a set of high quality books suitable for a range of reading interests and ages. The pack includes fifteen titles, split across three categories - Future Classics, Reluctant Readers and new for this year Non-Fiction.

Writing competition

Pie Night
8th January 2018 - De Lacy AcademyThursday night is Pie Night! Please come and join us if you're a Y11 parent and have a steak/chicken pie on us! We're having a quick evening to go through what's in store for Y11s this term and we're also giving out free revision guides for many subject areas. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, get resources and have a free meal.

8th January 2018 - Whetley AcademyOur new chef, Joe, teamed up with Miss Sayer and the Pupil Voice Team to encourage more pupils to have a healthy school meal, by hosting a tasting session. The pupils loved it and more and more pupils now want school meals cooked by Joe and his team.

School Opening Reminder
6th January 2018 - Hull Trinity House AcademyA polite reminder to our parents and carers.As scheduled, the Academy will be closed to students on Monday 8th January for staff training. The new term will begin for students on Tuesday 9th January, with the school day starting with preparation for Parade at the normal time of 08:40.The Academy refectory will be open to students from 07:00 (food and drink being available from 08:00). The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) will also be open from 08:00.
