  • Early Years Outdoor Renovations

    29th November 2017 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    We can confirm that the renovations to the reception class outdoor area will start on Tuesday 5th December for approx 7 working days. Please take care around the construction site.

  • Ofsted praises Academy

    28th November 2017 - The Vale Academy

    Improved student outcomes and effective leadership were praised by Ofsted inspectors following a visit to The Vale Academy.

     The academy retains its ‘good’ status awarded in March, 2013, after a short inspection earlier this month (November).

     Principal Nicola Williams was “really pleased” with the findings.

    27th November 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    Ash Hill Academy Celebrated Their Best Results in History!

    During the evening of Tuesday 21st November, Ash Hill Academy opened its doors wide, to welcome back the ‘Class of 2017.’ Principal, John Higgins, proudly congratulated the first year group in his charge, who had begun a very significant improvement trend in academic standards, since joining the Delta academies network.  Ash Hill Academy is now in the top 10% of most improved schools nationally in terms of Progress 8 scores and the top 17% for Basics

  • Hull Junior Open Exhibition

    We are incredibly proud of the hard work and commitment shown by our Art pupils who have submitted work for the Hull Junior Open Exhibition.

    These pupils worked in their own time to develop their own ideas and entries for the exhibition.  

    We are very pleased to announce that 5 pupils have been successful and will have their work on show in the exhibition until 21st January 2018.

    Serlby Park Academy presents a concert of music for Christmas on Thursday 7th December at 6.30pm.  Come along and get into the festive mood.  Tickets are £1 (children free) and available from school reception.

     

     

  • The TGA CHILDREN IN NEED SOUP OFF!!!

    27th November 2017 - The Grove Academy

    For Children in Need the key stage 3 students competed for the title of The Grove Academy SOUP-OFF WINNERS as part of the fundraising activities held throughout the day!

    They made a sweet potato curry soup, a mulligatawny soup and a leek and potato soup! The staff and students had to work together to make the best soup! All the soups were tasty but overall the best soup was voted as being the sweet potato curry soup, and it was utterly delicious... In fact you could say it was SOUPER...

  • Post 16 Event “The Hero Project”

    27th November 2017 - Serlby Park Academy
    A presentation was delivered today by The Hero Project, an education programme run by the charity Anthony Nolan.  Anthony Nolan helps to save the lives of people with blood cancer by matching them with donors willing to give blood stem cells (bone marrow) for transplants.  The Hero Project works in collaboration with NHS Blood and Transplant to deliver presentations to 16 to 18 year olds about bone marrow, blood and organ donation.   The presentation dispelled common myths, explained the importance of donat

    25th November 2017 - Kingston Park Academy

    This year Kingston Park Academy will again be taking part in Hallam Fm’s Mission Christmas. People can donate a gift for a child from 0-18 years to be given to underprivileged children in our area who may otherwise not receive a gift at Christmas. If anyone would like to donate a gift it must be new and not wrapped and can be handed into the school office by 8th December. Thank you for your continued support.

  • DECEMBER ATTENDANCE COMPETITION

    24th November 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    On the run up to Christmas, all students who attend every day at the academy during the month of December 2017, will be in with a chance of winning a wintery warmer prize!

    Following the success of the Spooktacular Halloween Disco, Mrs Wilkinson has arranged for 100% attenders to receive entry to a Christmas Disco Party, featuring the return of 'Soak the staff in stocks'!

    Only students with 100% attendance during the month of December 2017 will be eligible for the prizes.

  • MATHS BREAKFAST CLUB

    24th November 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    Mr Wilkinson would like to invite Year 11 students to a Maths breakfast club on Thursday 30th November and Friday 1st December 2017, starting at 7.45am. This will be an opportunity for Year 11 students to get a head start on revision practice, as well as receive a free breakfast. Please book your place with Mr Wilkinson directly, as he will need to know how many breakfasts to order.

  • LabLive STEM Event

    24th November 2017 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    Students at the academy have enjoyed a visit to The Gainsborough Old Hall today for a LabLive STEM event provided by EDF Energy.

    During the day they have attended a live show called 'Shapes and Smoke Rings' where mega mathematician Katie Steckles showed objects being deformed and twisted beyond what anyone would have thought possible.  The show informed students how shapes connect together in space, what their interesting properties are and how they can be used to solve real world problems.

    Thank you to those parents that have already started using our new app. Our aim is to get as many parents using it as we can, this will save the school money as the text messages will be free for both us and parents to send via the app. We will also be able to send out weekly newsletters and reward certificates to the children.

    This week was careers week at Manor Croft and every student in school was asked to consider what their future career paths might be.  Assemblies highlighted the importance of achieving the best GCSE grades in order to maintain the widest range of career options.  Personal Progress Tutor time was used to discuss different opportunities and think about the providers they wanted to speak to at Thursday’s careers fair.
