    The Year 11 boys football team have made it through to the last 16 schools in the country after beating North Halifax Grammar School in the English Nationals Competition.

    Gazing Into the Deep Blue Skys

    I'll gaze and gaze at the Deep Blue Skies until I lie asleep,

    26th January 2018 - Serlby Park Academy

    Please be aware there has been an incident reported on Wednesday 24th January 2018 of an unknown male allegedly chasing some teenagers/students whilst under the influence of drink at around 8pm at Snipe Park area of Bircotes.  Nottinghamshire Police are aware of the incident where they have confirmed nobody has been hurt or injured.  They are advising anybody with any further information to contact the Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 000792-24012018.

    26th January 2018 - Willow Green Academy

    Our Young Voices choir had a fantastic time at the concert in Sheffield on the 17th January, the children sang beautifully. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support us, we hope you enjoyed the perfomance as much as we did.

  • Melior Celebrates Success

    Following the release of the secondary performance tables today, we are hugely excited and proud to announce that the Academy has been ranked 6th out of 55 similar schools nationally and in the top 18% of all schools nationally.

    We are also now the third highest performing academy across the Delta Trust. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff and students at the academy.

  • FS2 Extended Open Door to parents

    25th January 2018 - Whetley Academy

    All FS2 parents are welcome to join in with our learning every Friday morning.  Last Friday was the first session and we had a great turn out.  We were looking at segmenting for writing.  This week we are looking at blending for reading and the week after high frequency words.

    This year in alliance with World Cancer Day, De Lacy Academy intends to support Cancer Research and raise money on Friday 2nd February. Throughout the day, we will be hosting a number of events and activities including: Pink Socks, Name the Teddy Bear, Leg Waxing and a Coffee Morning. Please find more details below.

    Today, Chartwells led a practical session for Y2 and Y3 entitled “Lunches from around the world’ – a cultural comparison of the food students eat around the world with a ‘rainbow wrap practical session.”

    25th January 2018 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    Our boys U11 football team were in action this afternoon at St. Theresa's Primary school. It was the second round of the Falkingham Cup. The team put in a battling and very determined effort from start to finish but sadly they lost 1 -0. They couldn't have tried any harder to win the game, coming close to scoring on several occasions. Rudy C was inches away from scoring with a great free kick attempt in the first half. Reuben B also narrowly missed scoring. The majority of the team consist of Year 5 childre

  • Year 10 Rugby Success

    25th January 2018 - Garforth Academy

    The Year 10 Rugby team played a very tight game against Ripon Grammar School this afternoon.
    The boys were really brilliant and played well in a close game between two very big physical sides. Garforth ran in four tries to Ripon's three, converting three of them and ended up winning 26-17.
    The boys now progress to the Yorkshire Cup Semi Finals and play Wickersley Sports College or Rodillian Academy at home.

  • JWA represent Grimsby Town U13 Girls

    24th January 2018 - John Whitgift Academy

    A group of girls recently attended Barnsley to represent Grimsby Town U13 Girls, they all played outstanding in every game, despite the tough competition.

    The girls finished 3rd in their division. The final scores were:


    Grimsby Town 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Grimsby Town 1-0 Barnsley

    Grimsby Town  1-3 Bradford


    Middlesbrough v Hull was the final and the winners then progressed to the national finals at Wembley.

    The girls did put in a fantastic effort, both locally and regionally, represent Grimsby Town and were a credit

    A massive well done to the 14 children who represented Mersey at the Hull Schools Dodgeball semi-finals last Friday! You did yourselves and the Academy proud coming 2nd and 4th!

    An extra well done to the year 5/6 team who made it through to the Finals on Wednesday evening coming 3rd in their group event.
