Well done to all of the children, staff and parents for supporting us with the race for life.  We have raised a fantastic amount of money, the grand total to date is £1067.50!!

    The Year 5 pupils thoroughly enjoyed a visit from the local police team, to learn about online safety and cyber bullying and the laws of being online.

    Due to extreme weather conditions, Ash Hill Academy is closed today to protect the health and safety of both students and staff.

  • World Book Day- rescheduled.

    1st March 2018 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    We have rescheduled the World Book Day celebrations from today (1st March) to Thursday 8th March - we will be holding the book swap so please encourage your child to bring in a pre-loved book which they can swap for a new title.

    Our theme is Harry Potter and children can dress up if they wish to. We do not expect families to buy expensive outfits for this event, often home made are the most imaginative. If your child really doesn't want to dress up as a Harry Potter character any book character will suffice

  • Rock Challenge

    1st March 2018 - Estcourt Primary Academy

    This years Rock Challenge is getting closer and our final preparations are under way. Both groups will be rehearsing Monday until 4.30pm and Group 2 Thurday until 4.30pm.

  • Xīnnián hǎo! Happy Chinese New Year!

    1st March 2018 - The Grove Academy

    As part of their multi-cultural/SMSC education studies, KS3 students celebrated Chinese New Year on 21.02.17.  The students had a taster of nine different activities- 

     

    • They studied thought provoking Chinese Maths led by Mr Wilkinson and Mr Haddock.
    • Mr Boyce led a workshop on creative Chinese writing.
    • All the students created a surface using willow and tissue paper and then learnt how to write their horoscopes in Chinese.  
    • Mr Hamilton taught the students how to make Chinese badges using ideas from their horosc

    28th February 2018 - Green Lane Primary Academy

    8am - We have made the decision to close the school due to the snow and staff being unable to reach school.

    Updated at 18.00 The weather forecast for Garforth shows snow until 7pm tonight and no snow tomorrow. However, the temperatures tomorrow are sub zero. I will reassess the situation in the morning in light of the latest forecast and the amount of snow and ice at school. I anticipate placing another message on the website at 7.30-8am. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

  • Whetley's Healthy Breakfast Club

  • Ewden Water Treatment Works

    27th February 2018 - Pheasant Bank Academy

    The children of Krushmeisters took part in an educational visit to Yorkshire Water's Treatment works in Sheffield.  Despite the weather forecasting heavy snow, this did not materialise and stop them attending the visit.  All of the children enjoyed a guided tour of the works whilst wearing suitable safety clothing.  They also took part in activities to learn about the water cycle, water around the world and water conservation.
