  • 'Being British' in KS3

    14th May 2018 - St Wilfrid's Academy

    KS3 artists have been using Grayson Perry as their inspiration, to create their own pots and vases, decorated with images representing 'Being British', this half term's theme.

  • Safeguarding Alert

    14th May 2018 - Serlby Park Academy

    Nottinghamshire Schools regularly share safeguarding information with each other, and we have been informed today that there have been reports of a male acting suspiciously near school buildings in the Worksop area.

     

    The description is of a white male, approx 60 years of age with short grey hair wearing a white shirt and brown trousers and walked with a slight limp.

  • Academy Closure

    14th May 2018 - England Lane Academy

    We regret to inform you that the whole academy will be closed again tomorrow (Tuesday 15th). This is as a result of continuing repairs and the cleaning up of the academy following vandalism at the weekend. As you can imagine there is a lot of glass to clear up and ensuring that environment is safe is our utmost priority . As always we appreciate all your support and understanding. Futher updates will come tomorrow.

    Year 6 will continue to attend and work at Head office.

  • ACADEMY CLOSURE

    13th May 2018 - England Lane Academy

    Please note : All Y6 MUST meet at the main entrance of England Lane at 8:45am Monday 14th May where they will then walk over to Delta's Head Office. They will spend the day there and complete their statutory tests there.

     

    Due to extensive criminal damage last night between the hours of 5pm and 7pm, we have no option than to close the academy for all children except Y6 (Going to Head Office) on Monday 14th May. This decision has not been taken lightly, but the safety of our pupils and staff are our first prio

  • Y6 parents - Important information

    13th May 2018 - England Lane Academy

    Y6 pupils must come to the main entrance at England Lane on Monday 14th May at 8.45am.

    Mrs Wilson and staff will walk pupils over to Delta Head Office (Next door to England Lane), where they will revise and then complete their tests.

    Lunches will be provided free for all children. (Pupils may bring a packed lunch if they wish)

    Pupils will be brought back to England Lane for 15:15 where parents/carers may collect them from the front entrance.

  • Ferens Art Gallery Visit

    On Wednesday 9th May Mr Ullah took some year 4/5 children to the Ferens Art Gallery. They had a fantastic time exploring the paintings of religious figures and icons and then creating their own. A massive thank you to @hullferens for having us.

  • Be Sun Safe!

    11th May 2018 - Kingston Park Academy

    Summer is fast approaching which will hopefully bring warmer  weather. Please ensure that your child has      adequate sun care e.g. a hat and sun cream, and also has a bottle of  water. Re-usable water bottles are available to  buy for £1 from the school office.

    Polite Reminder

    Summer school uniform requires that all shirts and polo necks have collars and children must wear socks and    appropriate foot wear.

     

     

     

  • SAT's breakfast

    11th May 2018 - Kingston Park Academy

    Don’t forget next week we will be holding a SAT’s breakfast club for all Year 6 pupils at 8am Monday to Thursday. We are expecting 100% attendance from all pupils. Each morning there will be a cooked breakfast on offer and time with Mrs Morris and support staff  to help with any last minute worries or revision questions.

    The Queens Award for Voluntary Service - Unsung Heroes 2006
     
    We would like to say a huge thank you to Caroline Dixon, from Nottinghamshire Literacy Volunteers, who has been working and supporting several of our pupils in both primary and secondary this year.
     
    Caroline, who has visited our school every week since September, has supported pupils by developing their reading and communication skills and kindly presented our students with a certificate at the end of the course.

  • KS3 Brodsworth Hall visit 4th May 2018

    10th May 2018 - St Wilfrid's Academy

    As part of this half term's thematic curriculum on 'Being British', an enthusiastic group of KS3 students ventured out to Brodsworth Hall, a local stately home run by English Heritage. The grounds were a great source of adventure with sunken gardens, tunnels and follies to be explored. After our tour we ventured into a secluded meadow and played softball rugby and football for an hour in the spring sunshine. To end our visit we all went to a carvery pub for a 'Traditional' Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding d

  • Year 9 & 10 Go Higher University Trip

    10th May 2018 - De Lacy Academy

    25 of each year group had a University Experience day which they really enjoyed and found inspirational and informative. They worked with student ambassadors throughout the day, had a campus tour and designed their dream university which they presented to the whole group.

    One of the feedback comments of the day was "The campus tour was the best. This has made me feel more confident for when I move to University".



  • RNLI Visit Year 1

    10th May 2018 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    As part of their Oceans and Sea's topic, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution came to visit Year 1 to help them learn about staying safe around water, different safety flags found on our beaches and how if needed the lifeboat team can help in an emergency.
