  • Highest GCSE results in our history

    25th August 2017 - Melior Community Academy

    Our staff and students celebrated significant improvements in GCSE results at the academy yesterday. Tougher examinations, nationally proved no obstacle to students at the academy who improve the number of students gaining a pass in both English and Maths at GCSE, going up 12% this year to 60%. These gains were reflected across a wide range of subjects.

    25th August 2017 - St Wilfrid's Academy

    Students, staff and parents are celebrating after the first set of GCSE results, since St Wilfrid’s Academy became a formal examinations centre this academic year.

    The Alternative Provision supports students in reengaging with learning, whilst focusing on both employability and personal and social skills, enabling them to gain academic outcomes and develop aspirations beyond GCSEs.

    24th August 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    On Thursday 24th August 2017, Year 11 students at Ash Hill Academy achieved the best set of exam results in the history of the Academy.  A record number of students achieved higher grades in both English and Maths, with a number of students gaining the new grade 9 – a standard reached by only a small percentage of students nationally.

    24th August 2017 - The Vale Academy

    Delighted staff and students celebrated another impressive set of GCSE results at The Vale Academy.

    Principal Nicola Williams said results in English were particularly ‘outstanding' with 86% of students achieving a grade 4+ and 63% grade 5+.

    A total of 67% of students achieved a ‘standard’ 4+ pass - the equivalent of the old grade C - in English and Maths.  46% achieved a ‘strong’ 5+ pass in the two subjects combined.

  • De Warenne celebrates Year 11 results

    24th August 2017 - De Warenne Academy

    Students, staff and parents are celebrating another year of improved results at De Warenne Academy.

    In English and Mathematics the percentage of pupils achieving a grade 4 pass or above in both subjects was 54%, with English Literature results at grade 4 and above 16% higher than those achieving a grade C last year.

    There has been a great improvement in performance in subjects across the broader academic curriculum this year, with 100% of students achieving A*-C in GCSE Computing, Fine Art and Business Studie

    Manor Croft Academy students and staff are celebrating today what is likely to be one of the largest improvements in GCSE outcomes in the country!

  • FIRST UNIFORM SWAP & SHOP DAY

    21st August 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    From 10:00am on Monday 21st August 2017, parents, carers and students attended our first uniform 'Shop & Swap' day, where they could either purchase new, or exchange previously bought yet incorrectly sized, items of the DELTA uniform.

    The new uniform is being introduced this September across all of the Delta Academies Trust sites, with Year 7 students being given a complete uniform pack, whilst older students are expected to acquire items over the academic year. The entire school will then be in the new Delt

    Ash Hill students are celebrating another fantastic set of A-level results.

    This year’s results again saw a 100% pass rate in all A-level subjects, as well as a continued increase in the percentage of top grades achieved.  All Year 13 students have secured places in Higher education, apprenticeship schemes or employment.

    17th August 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    This morning we have welcomed our Post 16 students to collect their GCE (A-level) results! Staff were on hand to congratulate, and our Careers Advisor Helen Green was available for advice, guidance and support regarding future opportunities. Some students had questions regarding the new grading structure and the way that their results are presented, so they were offered meetings with staff to advise on the changes.

    17th August 2017 - The Vale Academy

    Students and staff have celebrated The Vale Academy’s best ever A-level results.

    They recorded a pass rate of 99% across academic and vocational courses with 37% of grades either A or A*.

    All who applied gained entry into their first choice university.

    There was an overall average progress of +0.22 for academic and +0.90 for vocational subjects.

    Garforth Academy, a member of the Delta Academies Trust, have achieved an outstanding set of Key Stage 5 results with an academic average points score of 33.56 and an Applied General average points score of 43.54.  This is a record set of results for the Academy.

    17th August 2017 - De Warenne Academy

    Students and staff at De Warenne Academy are celebrating a great set of results.

    38% of the A Level results were graded at A*-B and 23.8% of grades were A and A*.

    100% of candidates passed all of their A Levels, again beating the national average of 97.9%.

    Megan Jones has performed magnificently all year and her hard work has been rewarded with an A* in Economics, an A in Maths and a B grade in English Language – as well as a bursary prize from the Mexborough and District branch of the Lions Association, which
