    23rd April 2017 - Wybers Wood Academy

    Mr Wrigley completed the London Marathon in 4hrs and 50 minutes, running for the Blind Dog Charity who clearly appreciated his efforts.

  • TSLA Student Sings For Leeds Rhinos!

    CONGRATULATIONS to one of our talented students, Jamie-Leigh, on delivering an amazing vocal performance prior to the Leeds Rhinos' Easter game at the weekend. 

    Performing in front of a crowd of over 15,000 is an incredible feat and everyone at The South Leeds Academy would like to express pride in this fantastic achievement. 

  • Netball teams compete in Paris

    18th April 2017 - Garforth Academy

    Over the Easter break twenty netballers from the Academy travelled to France to enjoy an International Netball Tournament, staged at Disneyland Paris. The standard of netball played was of the highest order, both of our teams out performed with the U14 finishing 3rd in the Shield Competition and our U15 team (who were playing in the U16 category) finishing a very credible 6th place overall.

    7th April 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    Students from Year 10 were treated to an action-pack and informative morning courtesy of the Royal Navy Youth Engagement Team before lunch on Friday 7th April 2017.

    Having being split up into two working groups, the students took turns in the following sessions:

    - Catering aboard – delivered by a qualified Royal Navy Chef, students saw how sailors are kept fit and healthy through the food they are served. A delicious chicken curry was prepared and offered for tasting, whilst students had the opportunity to qu

  • Uniform Update

    7th April 2017 - Melior Community Academy

    Delta Academies Trust have agreed a uniform deal with SPT Uniforms with effect from September 2017.

    Our new Year 7 students will receive a free uniform "bundle" which will include a blazer, clip-on tie, two white shirts, trousers or skirt, rugby games top, PE sports top, PE sports shorts and long "football" socks.

    Student measurements will be taken during their intake day on Monday, 10th July by SPT Uniform staff and orders placed. The uniform bundles will be available to collect from the academy prior to th

    Students have been working hard plannnng their Business Enterprise day with a range of events taking place including:

    • Treasure Hunt
    • Hot Drinks stall
    • Pop Up Cake Shop
    • Penalty Shoot Out Competion

    The activities will provide evidence for their coursework and all profits are going to the Cancer Support charity at the Holmes Carr Centre in Rossington.

    Today all our students attended St Luke's Church for Easter collective worship where each House enjoyed a Rossington version of the quiz game Pointless.

    Our students battled against each other and learnt many interesting Easter facts as part of the quiz.

    Many thanks to Sam Coukham who played our very own Richard Osborne, Lily Rowbotham who had the very difficult job of managing the pointless computer and Chris Davies for playing a beautiful piece of music on his violin.

  • Easter Day at Grange Lane!!

    7th April 2017 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    WOW!!! What an amazing day. We have been so busy having lots of fun.  The children have enjoyed an extensive range of Easter activities including Easter Egg Hunts, creating their own pictures and poems and we even had our very own Easter bonnet parade.  A massive thank you to all the children and parents who took part in this magical event.  The standard of hats were outstanding. The winners were as follows.
