  • Christmas Jumper Day - Friday 15th December

    14th December 2017 - Melior Community Academy

    "Christmas Jumper Day" is being held on the last day of term - Friday 15th December for all students and will be free of charge. Christmas t-shirts are also acceptable. Normal school uniform rules still apply and the christmas jumper or t-shirt is an addition to this. The academy will close at 2.30pm and re-open on Wednesday, 3rd January 2018 at the normal time.

  • Christmas Arrangements

    14th December 2017 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    We will be maintaining our normal curriculum arrangements up to Wednesday 20th December,  on Thursday 21st December students will attend church services at St Luke's church in Rossington during lessons 1 and 2.  They will then return to their usual lessons for the remainder of the day.

    Friday 22nd December is Christmas jumper day where students can wear a Christmas jumper with their usual academy trousers or skirt and make a £1.00 contribution in support of Save the Children.  The senior leadership team wil

    14th December 2017 - Estcourt Primary Academy

    Well done to all the children in Pandas, frogs and butterflies who took part in the nativity on wednesday 14th December they did an amazing job and we are very proud of them all. Thank you to all parents/ carers who came to watch.

  • Silver Medals in Athletics

    14th December 2017 - Whetley Academy

    The Year 3/4 Whetley Athletics team came 2nd, winning Silver Medals in their recent tournament which involved 16 schools.  Congratulations to you all, that is a fabulous achievement.

    Congratulations to all the year 6 pupils who recently took part in a local Athletics competition. The pupils were brilliant athletes and were a real credit to the school and their families.  Well done everyone.

    13th December 2017 - East Garforth Primary Academy

    East Garforth Primary Academy is a 'Good' school.

    In June 2017 Ofsted commented that:

    'Pupils achieve well as a result of good teaching'.

  • Christmas Dinner, 14th December 2017

    13th December 2017 - Hull Trinity House Academy

    The Academy will be having Christmas dinner on Thursday 14th December. Your son/charge has already booked his dinner in advance. There will be no access to other hot dinners tomorrow and no food at break tomorrow. Please remember to send a packed luch with students who are not participating in the Christmas lunch. Year 10 & Year 11 Officers will be allowed out of the Academy as usual and will be informed on the day as to the time they are expected to return for lessons.

    13th December 2017 - Hull Trinity House Academy

    Trinity All The Way! The annual Hull Trinity House Academy Christmas concert is on the 15th December from 6pm onwards. Featuring Hull Trinity's awesome Steel Band and some of our most musically talented students. Tickets can be purchased on Parent Pay: Adults £4 and Child/Concession £3. See you all there!

    The Year 7 Parents Evening will take place on Thursday 14th December between 4:30pm and 7:00 pm. All students have been issued an appointment sheet at school and your son/charge should book the appointment slots direct with their subject teachers.

    13th December 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

    We would like to say a huge thank you to all pupils who participated in the event and to everyone else who supported us, we really appreciate it. In total we raised a magnificent £586.54p in aid of Bassetlaw Food Bank.

  • Bookbuzz Comes to Serlby Park Academy

    13th December 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

    Bookbuzz, which is run by The Book Trust, is the UK's largest reading charity. 

    This year The Book Trust have offered Serlby Park students in Years 6 to 8  the chance to take part in a fantastic reading programme. This has given our students the opportunity to choose and keep their own book from a list of specially selected titles. The aim of Bookbuzz is to encourage students to read for pleasure and get them excited about books and reading.

  • Tickhill Lions Firework Safety Poster

    13th December 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

    Congratulations to Holly, Briony, Ruby, Kayleigh and Ebony who are the winners of this year's firework safety poster competition.

    We would like to thank Tickhill Lions for sponsoring this competition and donating £50 prize money.

    Each winner received a fantastic 'Spirograph Set' as a reward for all their hard work.

  • Rhymecraft Poetry Competition

    13th December 2017 - Serlby Park Academy

     

     

     

    We are delighted to announce that 38 primary pupils have had their poems selected for publication in the latest poetry competition from Young Writers.

    There were over 20,000 poems submitted nationally, so we are extremely proud that our pupils poems are of such a high standard.

     

    Rhymecraft - Yorkshire Poets is scheduled for publication on 28th February 2018 and all the winners have been notified.

     

     

  • Dolphins & Eagles Perfomance

    Y11's were involved in the Prison Me No Way step up day to day and took part in some interesting and thought provoking sessions delivered by the PMNW team. They also had the opportunity to see what an actual prison cell was like!

     

  • Medicine- Not Just About Medics

    13th December 2017 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    Students at the academy had the opportunity to visit the University of Leeds as part of a STEM day 'Medicine- not just about Medics'.  They had the opportunity to explore how teams of scientists, engineers and mathematicians work alongside medical doctors, helping them understand the spread of disease, discover better treatments and cures and develop technology to aid more accurate diagnosis.
