    7th December 2015 - Queen Elizabeth's Academy

    On Monday 7 December 2015, Queen Elizabeth's Academy Family of Schools held their annual Christmas Community Carol Service. The evening was well attended and there was time within the service for all to share their hopes for 2016.

    We would like to say thank you to the Reverend Dr. Keith Hebden; QEA Chaplain Steph Smart, QEA Deputy Head Girl Alice Nichols and Head Girl Jessica Williams.

  • C6 Parents Evenings

    6th December 2015 - The Doncaster Collegiate Sixth Form

    Parents Evenings will be taking place over the first three weeks of the Spring Term.

    Students should optain the specific dates from the Head of Sixth Form in their Home Academy.

  • 6th Form Common Room

    4th December 2015 - Queen Elizabeth's Academy

    Funding was generously received from Eastwood Trust Fund for cafe style tables and chairs for the 6th form students. This has vastly improved the communal area for students to study and socialise during their lunch times.

  • Christmas Market and Big Sing Event

    4th December 2015 - Queen Elizabeth's Academy

    On the evening of the 26 November 2015, the Academy held their annual Christmas Market. This year we were joined by the In Christ In Schools team who supported and led a Big Sing event with our Family of Schools.

    The evening was a huge success, with a total of £853.96 being raised.  This will go towards opportunities for our young people.

  • Christmas Market in Mansfield

    4th December 2015 - Queen Elizabeth's Academy

    On Wednesday 2 December 2015, 6 students represented the Academy by running a market stall in the town centre.

    Post 16 students were joined by year 10 and year 7 students who worked as a team to understand entrepreneurial characteristics of running a small business and developing leadership skills.

    The students sold items that they had made through hospitality and catering and after school academy craft.

  • Christmas Fair

    On the 4th December we held our Christmas Fair, the children worked very hard on their stalls. Thank you to everyone who donated. We raised over £600. Our make £5 blossom stall made £97 thank you to all the children involved.

    Year 4 And 5 will be taking part in the annual Christmas Tree Festival at Hatfield Church on Monday 7th December at 1.45pm.

  • Christmas Fayre

    4th December 2015 - Hatfield Woodhouse Primary School

    On Friday 4th December the PTA of Hatfield Woodhouse Primary school, planned, organised and ran a fantastic Christmas Fayre. There were many stalls ranging from the popular chocolate tombola, to guess the weight of the cakes and obviously visiting Father Christmas!

    Thank you to all the parents and staff who stayed and supported the event, it was lovely to see so many of you there. The PTA raised an amazing £951!!!

  • Basic Skills Quality Mark

    4th December 2015 - Grange Lane Infant Academy

    We have recently been inspected by the Basic Skills Quality Mark team. They spend a whole day in the academy observing lessons, speaking with pupils, meeting with the staff and looking through the quality of work produced by the teachers and the children!

  • Carol Singing at Halifax Building Society

    3rd December 2015 - Estcourt Primary Academy

    Some of the year 4 children went to the Halifax Building to perform a carol concert. We raised over £200 and had some very lovely praise from parents,customers and staff

  • Penalty Shoot Out Winners

    3rd December 2015 - Rossington All Saints Academy

    Mr Howley's form are Luther King Intra House winners for their great performance against Miss Pay's form in the Penalty Shoot Out Competition.  The game went right up to the very last second when the winning goal was scored making them the winners.

  • Parents Engagement Forum: Meeting 2

    3rd December 2015 - Manor Croft Academy

    On Thursday 3rd December the MCA Parent Engagement Forum met at 6pm for their second session of the year.  The theme for the session was 'How can MCA develop its homework policy to better impact on learning in the classroom?' Over 30 parents turned out  and fully engaged in activities based on extended learning thoughout the evening.  Mr Ryder was extremely pleased with how the evening went and will be assembling a Homework Steering Group in the new year to drive this area of improvement forward.   • More Able Students Seminar

    2nd December 2015 - Manor Croft Academy

    On Wednesday 2nd December Mr Walton, Miss Dodds and Mr Barnett held a seminar for the More Able Students from Year 11.  There was a great attendance and lots of positive work was discussed.  The session represents part of our academy's strategy to support these students in the pursuit of excellence in their GCSEs.  Work on practical tips for success, revision, being aspirational and post-16 options was carried out (whilst enjoying some pizza!).     2nd December 2015 - Wybers Wood Academy

    The Mayor of Grimsby kindly attended our Christmas Fair and officially opened our refurbished key stage 2 Hall today.  There was lots of fun, games, craft stalls, raffles, Father Christmas and refreshments.  The event raised and amazing £1000.57!  This will be spent on something special for the school following consultation with pupils through School Council.  Thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and thank you to those who attended our Christmas Fair and made it such a super occasion.
